Great place - a bit like Alladdin's cave - full of all sort of bits and pieces for all your DIY needs. It's the sort of place where you can buy a single screw. The gentleman who runs it is so friendly and helpful.

If you need a hard-to-get piece of hardware that isn’t stocked by the large chains then you’ll probably find it here.

Charged my friend £24 for a plunger. Checked to see if it was made of jewels and precious metals, but it turns out that you can buy the same plunger for £8.50 from other shops. It's almost as if the shopkeeper saw someone of whom he could take advantage. Buyer beware.

I try to always support local businesses, particularly in this economic climate, but my appalling experience here merits being shared, as I was misled by the other reviews. The man behind the counter was unbelievably sarcastic and aggressive, and made me feel stupid for not understanding his confusing labelling system. I recommend shopping anywhere but here. There are other local businesses, who are friendly (or at least don't treat their customers like idiots) that deserve your support.
