As I was travelling to the USA in August, where the temperatures are considerably higher than in England, I looked for a cotton sunhat with a brim to give full protection. I searched in the usual high street shops and was disappointed by the range, poor materials, high prices and limited styles, so I did what I have done regularly over the years - went to Loughborough market ( on Thursdays and Saturdays). There I found the ideal hat, with the courteous help of one of the Earland Brothers. It can be adjusted by a tape that runs round the inner brim, to fit most crowns and not only did it suit me but, as it is in a pure, substantial cotton fabric, I can dye it later, should I wish.
This is the best one-stop place to buy headgear for both men and women in the Midlands. I have bought Tilly hats for the tropics, faux fur and wool knits for winter and fascinators for weddings. The range for men is even more extensive, encompassing panamas, caps, trilbies and fedoras, to mention a few.
Not only this, the prices are extremely reasonable and I'm delighted to find that it's now possible to buy on line, although I do recommend visiting the stall in person for the sheer pleasure of trying such a vast choice of hats and receiving the solicitous, expert advice of Mr Earland!

There are times in life where we all come across a jewel. Earland Brothers is one such jewel, and they deserve special mention for their overall quality and craftsmanship.

The newspaper boy caps are a timeless classic, which have been worn as a style statement for years. With the recent surge in popularity thanks to the endorsement of David Beckham and the Peaky Blinders show, it's a staple essential in a man's wardrobe.

I ordered one blue cap on line and it made it to me all the way in Canada. I was impressed by the quality, and keeping in mind the hemisphere where I live in along with my new found love for these caps, I decided to get 3 more. To my joy, every cap was exactly the way I had envisioned it, and stood out from others.

In anticipation of the miserable and rapidly approaching New York City winter I looked online for a good wool cap for my otherwise uncovered (bald) head. The photos of the Earland Bros offerings seemed nice enough so I gave them a try. Delivery to the US was very quick and so far I’m more than pleased with the cap itself. Any menswear aficionado can detect good quality wool fabric at a touch and this hat feels solid yet is light and comfortable. Value for the price seems incredible and I’m confident on initial impression that this cap will last me quite some time. Most definitely would recommend.

What to say. Excellent fast service. A high quality cap. Failsworth caps in my opinion are the first out there and so well priced. Speed of delivery is excellent. Now just recieved my fourth order from them.
