Relaxing day at Spa
Lovely massage that me and my sister had. Thanks to Marcia and Amber , really great deep tissue massage. Lovely customer service and helpful from lady on reception.
The steam room and sauna was great.. as was the hydrotherapy pool.. apart from the water was cold, but we were told imon the day.. would be nice to be offered a discount on next visit.. but otherwise I would recommend this spa for a visit and I will be back.. thank you

Firstly - I cannot fault the treatments here. They are brilliant and I wouldn’t go anywhere else in St Albans. My review is of the spa itself.

We arrived at around 5.30pm for a spa evening. We had hoped to get a drink to have outside however were told the coffee machine was broken, the cafe was shut, so they could only offer us bottled water.

We then went to use the spa and remembered we needed towels and robes which they had forgotten to give us. There was no explanation of where everything was. I just felt the customer service on arrival was a bit poor.

We went down to the spa area which is small but does include a nice jacuzzi area and a few heated rooms. The sauna and steam room were both broken when we were there and there was lots of empty cups and bottles around. We spent around 15 mins there before heading to the outside area which was nice.

I would 100% recommend the treatments here but really don’t think it’s worth a spa day. It really felt like the spa needed some tlc.

Don't bother going here if you have a voucher. I had a voucher for a 25 min treatment for 2 given to me as a gift. But when i called them to book, they informed me that booking on a weekend even with the voucher is an additional £30 per person. Later when i finally decided to book for a weekday they say they don't have any bookings till march of next year! But their app where you can make normal bookings showed they had no bookings at all, when i told them i saw they had openings on their app, the receptionist just informed me it isnt for voucher people. I don't understand why do they sell vouchers if they don't want voucher people to come to their "luxurious" spa.

very nice, I liked that there were multiple saunas as some get very hot, it was a nice build up of heat intensity

I had a body scrub treatment which was ok but not amazing. I wouldn’t have it done again. My body felt soft after the treatment which was nice but I could have done a better job myself. The pool and jacuzzi area was great and the rain and ocean sounds was a nice touch. I also enjoyed the lavender steam room a lot.

Don't bother going here if you have a voucher, you will be treated like a second class citizen. As of December, the earliest appointment for those with vouchers is July, yes, 7 months in the future. Last month, it was March. I would exchange your vouchers and steer clear of this place. Buyagift have been informed too

Fantastic massage but the water in hydrapool was chilly and 30 pounds fee for robes and towels is a bit of an overkill.

Not the luxurious spa that is advertised! Dirty, cold and made to walk across the public entrance in our swimsuits and towels to the sports hall to access food and drinks as the spa cafe was closed. When we got to the public cafe there was no food left (12.30) so was unable to eat whilst there. Beds were broken and they are still not providing robes etc due to covid and yet had towels on the beds that people shared…

I have contacted management about the issues and promised a call back but still no contact from them.

Do not book if you are expecting a relaxing spa day.
