Embrionic heritage railway station and short length of running track. Well worth a visit for the restored station building and tea room inside a restored Mk 1 carriage. Also a small shop. Friendly staff and I had an excellent toasted sandwich for lunch.
This end of the line will eventually be linked up with the Cambrian Railway station in Oswestry to create a decent length of running line.
Good place to stop for a break on a long journey to North Wales.

Cute little cafe made from an old rail carriage, staffed by volunteers. Simple fare but that's all you n need. Cute little cat called Lenny was snoozing on one seat. A little railway themed shop was there two. Toilets were accessible and there was a baby change facility in the accessible toilet. Though there were steps down to the platform, there was an accessible route around the back.

Lovely old station being restored and turned into a very good place to visit, the volunteers where very helpful and friendly, you can take a 10 minutes train ride on a heritage train from the station,

Very helpful volunteers. Lots of rolling stock to see. Delightful new station and trains run on open days. Parking and narrow gauge line remains

Such a great day out. You can ride the train up and down the line all day, or jump off and go to the brewery for some amazing food and craft beer. Highly recommended for the whole family.

This is a friendly heritage railway with so much potential.

A great place to just chill out with a cup of tea, like most railways, they need more helpers.
You might even get to ride in the cab of the engine working on the brake van rides.

We visited the Santa Special and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff and volunteers were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The train journey was most enjoyable. Lots of waves and smiles from the workers and at our destination including a very sociable 'Santa' who handed out a present with an Elve present. We waited in a warm 1st class carriage for our return train and it was a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The station had some great Xmas cards and a raffle ticket with some amazing prizes, which was good. The only thing that could be tweaked is the refreshments at Weston could have a VG 🌱 offering as there was none. Fortunately there was carrot and coriander soup which came in handy on a cold wintry day. Well worth a visit we must say. Thank you and good luck for the future. See you again another time.
