Moulsham High School

I went to school here but left 30 years ago. Went to visit last week as my son is due to attend when he leaves primary school. Hasn't changed a great deal but it seemed to be much friendlier than I remembered.

A brilliant school!
The teachers are exceptional, they care for their students future.
The school really helped my son achieve the goals given to him.
He worked his way up from set 4 to set 1 in all subjects. The school dealt with any issues that he had.

I would recommend this school....

A pretty average school specialising in the humanities. Surrounded by what looks like a prison fence sold to pupils as a way of keeping undesirable people out, but the truth is that the school has never had a problem with that... They supposedly have a zero tolerance policy on bullying but unless things have dramatically changed recently, there was a tenancy to just deal with the easiest party to deal with. More often than not, this could involve removing the victim from class instead of the bully. The school would make no effort to gather evidence of the bullying in question, leaving it solely up to the child.

I would say this a great school. It's not perfect but most of the teachers are exceptional. It also has some very good facilities. The only negative is that some teachers did not push the students enough.
