Hackney New School

Hackney new school is a great place for young people, but it has taken 2.5 years to try and get a meeting with the school head. Her PA has been a big barrier. Our organisation is well established in the De-Beauvoir.

I hated it there and when I decided to leave, they excluded me every day for a week before I left, so that it wouldn't look bad on their record. They also didn't let me say goodbye to my friends. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If I am ever successful I will not be remotely mentioning them

Fantastic academics but the behaviour policy could do with some reviewing.

The staff are overwhelmed by the students, no real attempt is made to control the school, too inexperienced to deal with even basic issues and if your child is in anyway 'singled out for being good at anything' the student body will bring that child down, most of the scholar students have left now, a real crab bucket of a school.

My personnel experience with the school is one of pain and mistrust, four head teachers in the last 18 months, paperwork not done, lost chances for my son, great damage done to him and others, not much more than lip service when it came to real issues within the school.

Real issues are in need of being addressed, a troubled environment for both the teachers and students. It was a great idea but has been poorly executed and sadly now just a poor school with no real goals in place.

Having tried to engage with the staff and governors found there lack of concern stunning, the school Governors have little interest in the school or its students

Very bad teachers are horrendous and they leave half way through class.... Great on you Hackney new school
