Amazing school, especially maths/science departments! Knowledgeable teacher who are willing to help anytime. People are very friendly and kind. Food needs improvement, but is promised to be fixed. Lovely, effective school to get grades and have some fun in the process.

Staff turnover is too much to even create a relationship with the teachers. The food really does need to be fixed and also having sixth formers wear a suit to do some maths is a little over the top. However the school does keep the students on their toes and does whatever it can in order to achieve the best means of improving the student's grades. This is getting three stars because really its just a mediocre sixth form. The secondary school however would get 4* to a low 5* since it is clear that they really know what they're doing in that aspect.

I like that there are so many ways for the younger Pupils to receive help and support with their school work; they can go to their fellow Peers, staff, Head of Departments, librarians, older year 10 -13 students and even the Head Master!
Master!
There's even a Homework support Club where the students can regularly attend for help.

Well done Ham Cam! That's my nickname for the school! Lol

IT has a very good fitness area and the school is very welcoming. People are kind and it has a vast amount of area. This school includes lots of fun learning activities and a good place to eat. The classrooms are also very vibrant and nice

Sick of the detentions handed out for every Willy Nilly reason grrrrr, get a blooming grip… should be an absolute last resort, doesn’t do anything to help, our children do have a life after school, looks like those educators have extra useless time on their hands keeping children behind
Mega frustrated cos it puts a dampener on all the good that actually comes out of the academy 😤

Looks can be deceiving « Good on the outside bad on the inside » favoritism , unjustice , bullies escape unpunished and the victim gets the blame DONT RECOMMEND. Choose a better school for your children

I was a student 2015-2019, never got my GCSE project that I was promised despite trying to get it as I designed it for my brother with complex medical needs. Communication lacks in that school, I was bullied numerous times and never helped/supported me with my mental health. The book cover may look nice and inviting but looks can be deceiving.

This has been open for just over 5 years. It reminds me a little of a cruise liner in dry dock. It's spiral staircases definitely resemble the ones that emerge from dining rooms to take you towards atrium lounges. The Entrance by main reception is a little tricky because you have a choice between a large revolving door or a pull towards neither of which l would describe as wheelchair user friendly. I assume any disabled students are guided through a different door. I attended an evening performance of 'Bugsy Malone' which was an upper school show case with a keen year 7 guest doing extras duty. It was well rehearsed with very competent female singing leads, good ensemble dance routines and loads of enthusiastic scene shifters/ set cleaners working their magic in the dark. If l were giving them ' notes' ld say use less props ( look at recent fringe theatre sets for inspiration) leave some figures in frozen tableau on occasion rather than have them keep exiting and entering. It slows the pace. Use your lighting to switch audience focus from 'frozen' characters to active ones. Also consider radio mics for main singers and get students to practise voice projection to the back row using lyrics from the show or current tracks they listen to. Hard for audience to follow dialogue at times above the hum of air conditioning units. However l've awarded premises and whole ambience 4 stars because it's evident the staff put massive effort into working with the school's slogan INSPIRE, CREATE SUCCEED and the students aspire to live it. The photos and notices on the wall give testimony to that.
