I have 4 young children, two boys and two girls. When they become of the age to start secondary school i will NOT be sending them here!!! I really don't know why they even changed it into an Academy, it is exactly the same as Kings Manor all that has changed is the building and the name of the school. Alot of my friends children go to this school and i am so disgusted at what goes on there. The constant Bullying is appalling and its just continuous even after the parents contacting the school on many different occasions. Children are taunted everyday and nothing happens. As for the strict uniform aswell, that's fine, if it was Not so Expensive, The uniform for this school is stupid amounts of money its to appalling for words. Children can still look smart but why have uniform that is stupidly expensive when there is so many parents out there that are struggling with everyday living, let alone having to pay out stupid amounts of money for school uniform for this appalling school. If parents have two or three children that attend here, they are looking out to pay £1000 or over just on the uniform. Its disgusting i have not a good word to say about this school and will NOT be sending my children here to be bullied everyday and i wouldn't evven be able to afford the cost of the uniform, it's so bad!!!

I'm one of three, all of us have attended Shoreham Academy our local school. My brother has just finished a maths degree at Sussex University and I am hoping to go to Southampton Uni in September to study geography. My younger sister is in year 10 and has just picked her final GCSE options, she was torn between GCSE's in Computer Programming, Economics and Psychology, what a fabulous choice. We have a lovely new building and grounds and the latest OFSTED gave the school an outstanding rating. OK there are some troublesome pupils but there are in every school. Bullying is taken seriously and rapidly dealt with - please give my school a chance.

I feel that Shoreham Academy 6th form is a pleasant place to go to study your A-Levels. The building is bright and the teachers are welcoming from day 1. I would highly recommend studying here as you will have full support in whatever you do.

This place is not the best. While they have some good qualities they are lacking the idea that students should be able to express there own creative independence. As a student it's like going in a prison and it's not the best. The only good side it the library.

My friend goes to this school and he says all of the bad reviews are true. Girls are asked to pull down skirts even if they are not rolled up.
If you don't tuck in your shirt you get a 15 minutes detention.
1 warning and if you disturb the class again you stay behind until 4 and you get isolation.
No homework = 2 HOURS DETENTION
5 MINS TO GET TO ISOLATION OR YOU GET ANOTHER DAY OF BEING SUSPENDED
If you get bullied the pastoral team doesn't do anything
You can't go up the stairs without getting told off
School doesn't care if the student does drugs but they care if u bring it in

The school is good, quite strict on behaviour and uniform. Don't really get why uniform is so important. You can do whatever outside school but when you do it in school it becomes a big deal. Most teachers are very nice some not.

My Son will soon be coming to the end of his first year (Year 7) at Shoreham Academy. He had real trouble with the transition from primary to secondary, & Shoreham Academy couldn't have been more supportive & helpful. My Son is now really enjoying his time there & is proud to be a pupil of this Ofsted 'outstanding' academy... I would certainly recommend the school to other parents, and having myself attended Kings Manor (the school formerly on the site which this school replaced), I can happily confirm that Shoreham Academy bears no resemblance in any way to the that sad & crumbling wreck! The entire faculty are amazing; which ever member of staff I talk to, I am always met with enthusiasm, and they are always eager to help in any way they can. Finally I'd like to add that the children are very lucky to be able to benefit from the great range of absolutely amazing facilities that this newly built school has to offer.

Uniform is uncomfortable and you won't have a fun time at the school as the behaviour system is way too strict some teachers are good others don’t even know how to make a cup of tea
