Lenton Lodge was the main entrance to Wollaton Park and was linked to a high perimeter wall that went around the entire park 1823 - 25, situated on Derby Road. I was born a few minutes walk from this beautiful historic landmark, and remember a family living there, the Swains back in the 1960's. It was extremely cold, and a difficult environment to live in, but we played together in and around the bollards at the front, and remember the chains attached to the stone walls with lion heads. It is a Grade 2 listed, building and was listed in the early 1950's, and is of great historic note.
