Difficult to find. Not much to it. If you walk across it you can't see any of the arches so you need to walk down through the meadows below it to be able to take some decent photos

Great place to watch the sunrise, and to cycle along, has great views and is great with a drone. Would be nice if there was some seating areas but apart from that I couldn't fault the place,

Nice little walk.
Viaduct well surfaced, decent views of the river Itchen.
Would be better with a pint at the end of it, but thats lockdown 2 for you !

The Viaduct is nicely preserved.. the walk across is a little bleak and would look lovely lined with some pot plants or something to give it some colour.. the beauty of course is in the arches which can only be viewed on another part of the walk entirely. There are, however, lovely walks surrounding the viaduct and some nice river spots for wild swimming.. a busy and vibrant place. Nice to read about the viaduct’s history and it’s clearly looked after by the locals. Worth a stroll across but for a prettier walk you’re better served walking through the meadows.

Very interesting! It’s a pleasure to walk across and read the plaques detailing the history. It’s also lovely to walk underneath and get a sense of how ginormous it is too. Wonderful history!

An amazing peice of railway infrastructure now used as a cycleway and footpath. As it is part of National Cycle Route 23 it can be buisy with cyclists, especially at rush hours and weekends

Ok, I'll be honest here. You can easily walk along the top of the viaduct and it has some lovely views. I wanted to get down in the fields but they are private property and I'm sure the farmer doesn't want us rambling through his lovely fenced fields. There is a path leading through the fields (5 bridge lane) which gets you down by the river. Popular running route and Ideal drone flying spot. I chose early morning for this reason. Parking available at nearby layby. Not much and be aware lorry drivers use it as a rest point.
