An interesting part of history. A large concrete structure with a dished face towards France. It was used to reflect the sound and the concave profile means that the sound was concentrated/amplified at the focal point so you could hear things approaching sooner.

Great views of the French coast and Folkestone, and a really quiet and tranquil spot.

An amazing structure, so easily walked past without realising what it was. Pity there is no longer any information next to it. Pre dating radar, it makes you realise we have been worried about approaching aircraft from the continent for over 100 years.

A great place to walk and see White cliffs, across to France and some historical military relics including a sound mirror listening device, well worth a visit

Really nice walk and a destination to see some cool 100 year old technology. This is one of the best persevered examples and perhaps the most easily accessible.

Be prepared for some wind. And extremely limited parking. Both the views are worth it.

Beautiful view of the sea. Amazing to walk along the cliff edge and hear the waves below

Lovely clifftop walk with the bonus of an interesting historical item ...I hadn't even heard of a sound mirror prior to today.

Great place with amazing sea views and the surrounding Folkenstone area. Sidewalk for pedestrians and cyclists. Suitable for families with children. As well as for joung or older hikers.
