A great place showing some of the secrets of the cold war, and a place that should become a great place for the community

One of the best preserved Cold War bunkers in the UK. The "Magic Mountain" nickname is incorrect. If the base personnel referred to building as anything other than the avionics building then the nickname used was "Dragon Mountain"
As the bunker was used to service the avionics of TR-1/ U2 aircraft, These aircraft are nicknamed "Dragon lady's" and the technician's referred to themselves as "Dragon Keepers" so the "Dragon Mountain" nickname makes a lot more sense than "magic mountain"
