Really interesting history at this free museum. There was plenty of free things for the young kids to do and lots of history to read about.

Really great museum with a very large collection of Roman, Saxon, medieval and iron age artifacts.

Very interesting bath house ruins, shame the museum wasn't open, we will definitely return after February. The St Nicholas Circle car park is a lot on the expensive side. Revisited today and didn't see the sign on the web site that it was still closed, I hope the refurbishments are better than excellent given the length of time they are taking.

I’ve been here few times and it’s so awesome, not only for historic geeks but for every tourist who likes a REAL ancient objects. Just can’t wait to see it finally after renovations 👍

Closed until summer 2024.
When I visited it was fascinating but badly in need of modernisation. Really looking forward to the new vision when it finally opens again.
