The old Fish Market on The Quay in Exeter (also known as the Transit Shed) is a Grade II Listed Building. Dating from 1820, this open-sided structure on cast-iron columns was originally a wharfing shed for ships docking at the Quay, then later adopted as a fish market for the city. Now it forms part of a historic group of buildings including the old Custom House and is a popular visitor destination.
