The bumpy ground high up next to the church is the main clue as you walk the site that you are on the castle site. But the views over the village and surrounding countryside are spectacular! The site is on the route of the Lyveden Way which continues up over the hill.

Fantastic sweeping views with some interesting fauna and wildlife. If only there was some more information on the place. Lovely walk.
