Linked to the main part of the island my a man made sea wall giving a safe beach and harbour on the land side. The lighthouse itself is rather small and unimpressive but the views are magnificent! Useful for local navigation.

Amazing location. Which you can walk out to. No facilities, it's just a beach but a nice one. Car park is a good 30mins walk away where there is often a ice cream van and toilets.
Amazing views. Amazing swims and beaches to build sandcastles!
Fun for a whole day.

Half an hour lovely walk from the beach to the lighthouse or the lifeboat house. Through a beautiful beach with forest and Snowdon mountains in the background. It has a big carpark and you can pay by card when you are leaving.

Aka Newborough beach ... One of the best beaches in the UK. From the car park is a decent walk along a calm beach that feels more like a lake with the fabulous mountain views on the horizon. You then reach the island with a contrasting surf on the opposite side. Take the path around the island to unveil beautiful bays full of sea life including grey seals! .. top tip .. Check when the tide is coming in .. don't get trapped on the island!

Stunning location to walk to. Best carpark is Newborough, then walk along beach to right. You will need wellies or good boots even when it is low tide as rock pools are still about. Unless you don't mind a climb then go to the left up the cliffs and along. Either way you can then stroll through and along the beautiful beach. There is a manmade wall to walk out to the very end.
