Little remains of Dollis Hill House, just some preserved walls and former ancillary buildings.
Enjoy however the refreshments in the remaining structures, and contemplate the house's Victorian and Edwardian heighdays when Gladstone rented the place and Mark Twain visited.

Sad it had to be pulled down but I think they have done well to partially protect the memory of it. Stunning view over toward Wembley Stadium especially at sunset. Lots of beautiful gardens with roses and benches. The cherry on the top of the lovely open greenery of Gladstone Park.

Ruins are well kept. Benches added to sit around. Amazing to think Prime Ministers wandered the same steps you are. Not as big as you would imagine for a Prime Ministers Summer House.

Site of a picturesque rural retreat, “a farmhouse”, with a commanding prospect over the countryside.
Over the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries historic figures recorded as guests here.
Grade II Listed but benign neglect resulting in dereliction, finally demolished in 2012 leaving an abstract outline and the floor-plan footprint.
Appropriate signage contextualisation here provide an historical perspective.
An integral segment of the park adding background undertow to a appealing landscape.

At the top of the hill, you will find the remains of Dollis Hill House, which was a favourite residence of Gladstone. Lots of information about this once loved family home, with photographs, are on display stands, surrounding the site. Well worth a visit.

Visited Cluckatown for an occasion. Travelled up from Manchester. Oh. My. Days..... The food is to die for. The Seoul Chicken was absolutely fit. I just wanted more and more. Also the Mexican burger was just a beaut.
The owners were very pleasant and welcoming and accommodating.
Love the building and atmosphere of the place.

I have just written a review on Gladstone Park, which expresses my and my family's huge appreciation of the park as a whole and the work that has gone into making it a wonderful haven from the worries and restrictions we have faced particularly over the last 18 months. The walled garden and the rose garden along its outer side is an absolute delight and I really appreciate all the work of community volunteers and gardeners. My only concern is regarding the pond by the Dollis Hill House 'footprint'. It appears to be suffocating as a result of what I think is a thick layer of duckweed and there is a lot of litter in it, including plastic waste. The ducks and moor hens look quite sad. It also smells foul sometimes. This is a great habitat for wild-life but I fear it is being compromised now through lack of maintenance. Moreover I overheard a conversation the other day in which a woman was slating Brent council for its neglect of this amongst other things. Personally, in general, I believe Brent is doing a good job under difficult circumstances and I was upset that the state of the pond was giving a rather aggressive critic, fuel to her stance.
