OneZeroNine Holiday Cottage

This cottage gives you a hug as you walk through the door! It has everything you need, and more, to make your break complete. The bottle of fizz and home made cake were most welcome on arrival.

Claire has made the place very COVID secure, making a gap of three days between bookings. The cottage was very clean and we felt very safe.

The log fire is a bonus now dark nights are approaching.

The location is great - some fab scenery close by. Can recommend a walk up Arnside Knott.

The only disappointing thing about the cottage is having to leave.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year we came back for more! Claire and John are fantastic hosts, knowledgable about the local area and helpful whenever needed. The cottage is beautifully designed and decorated, well equipped for self-catering and immaculately clean, plenty big enough for our party of 2 couples. The icing on the cake is the incredible garden Claire has designed, occasionally open for the National Garden Scheme. There is plenty to do locally - we did a long walk from the door through beautiful countryside to the Leighton Moss RSPB reserve and back via the views of the crag, stopping for a well earned pint at the Old School Brewery close by. The Lake District, Dales and Forest of Bowland are also only short drives away. We will be back again !

We came back and it was just as good as last year. Claire and John are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The garden amazing and a relaxing place to sit. There are walks on the doorstep or Warton is well placed to reach the Southern Lakes, North York’s or the Trough of Bowland. If you love birds, RSPB Leyton Moss is nearby. Whether you need a short stop over close to the M6 or a base for a longer holiday, we can’t recommend OneZeroNine enough
