Self-Catering Barns at West Knole House

We have just returned home from a truly beautiful weekend staying at The Paddock View. Couldn't fault a thing the owners Stephen and Elaine went out of their way to accommodate us and made us both feel very welcome. Wanted to stay for longer but unfortunately had to come back home. Will definitely be back! It was an ideal place to pop into Glastonbury and see the sights. Many thanks for being wonderful hosts. Definitely recommending this to all my friends and family.

This accommodation is absolutely beautiful, with so much attention to detail, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and felt very welcomed and at home by the wonderful and lovely hosts, whom nothing was too much trouble when asking questions, and they let us know the best places to explore! The location is very relaxing if you're looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beauty! Everything was just perfect and I could not fault the rooms, I will definitely be returning!

We stayed in Paddock View and it was just perfect -- beautiful views and a nice area to explore, and the barn itself was just perfect -- like staying in a 5 star hotel but with more character. Loved the attention to detail with the classy decor, the posh linens and bedding, the nice crockery, the lush Bramley bath products. We stayed in wintertime so the log burner was fantastic. Elaine was a perfect host, too. Hope to return again.

What an absolute gem of a place…. Wonderful host, great spot… so peaceful and most importantly, the cottage was spot on…. Comfortable bed, luxury bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with a lovely private outside dining space… thank you so much Elaine and Stephen… Penny & Anne xx

My mum and I have just spent a wonderful 3 days in Somerset, staying at Stable View. The accommodation is spacious and pristinely clean, with lovely touches of fresh flowers in the lounge area, soap and hand cream in the bathroom and a large bottle of water and tea bags on our arrival. We had the great pleasure of meeting Stephen and Elaine's beautiful Labradors and bengal cat, who greeted us each evening on our return to Stable View. We were also able to enjoy the beautiful garden which happened to be in full bloom at the time of our stay - such a joy to wake up to every morning. I couldn't think of a nicer location or view for a holiday home. Thank you Stephen and Elaine for your hospitality.

We recently stayed in paddock view at West Knole House and it was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Definitely a 5 star accommodation. It was exactly the getaway we needed from our busy lives! Elaine and Stephen were lovely hosts who really go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed a nice dinner at their recommendation and a walk up to the millennium stones. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a countryside escape. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

As usual, Elaine and Steve plus Bailey and Olly (the dogs) gave us the warmest welcome. The cottage is beautifully appointed up to the usual impeccable standards. The outlook is amazing and its incredibly quiet here.

The cooking and convenience of the property is top of the line as is the stunning pocket sprung bed and high quality fabrics.

Perfect for a weekend away. We stayed in Stable View and it was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing weekend away from the city and our boys loved it, especially getting to see the horses each morning. Quiet and spacious, and really nicely decorated, it had everything we needed.
