Fantastic place to spend the weekend, the house is stunning and so are the views. Ursula was alwyas helpful when we were planning our stay and the online guest book was very useful with all the info we needed. Would definitely recommend for large family groups or groups of friends who are happy to share rooms

Fantastic place...stayed for a few days of a friend's extended 50th birthday party celebrations. A grand country gentleman's pile in a stunning location. Bedrooms large, all with en suite or private bathrooms. A Grand sitting room, and dining room, at the front of the house with mesmerising views across the valley and mountains. Large TV room, and massive country house kitchen. Massive games room on top floor. Wood fired hot tub, 'hobbit house' hot house sauna type thing. One down..the shower fitting over bath in top floor bathroom so low pressure using it to shower is difficult.

Cae'r Blaidd is the most magnificent place to visit and stay on holiday. Lots to do locally and even if you're a home bird, the house itself offers much comforts ranging from relaxing in the hot tub to a game of ping-pong, huge library of reading and ample board games and video games. Everything and more under one roof. I wouldn't hesitate to boost again. There were 15 of us, ages ranging from 8 to 72 and were had so much space to spread ourselves out and enjoy quiet moments if we needed them. A definite must.

The house is beautiful and vast. The views from the gardens across the valley are magnificent. Everything you could want for a weekend away - BBQ, Hot Tub, Games Room, Gym, place to store bikes and get wet kit dry and lots of rooms / beds with ensuites that would equally suit large families, multiple families and groups of friends. We were a group of friends in Snowdonia doing mountain biking and walking. Several mountain bike centres are nearby (15 - 20 minutes). We did walks straight from the house along the river with waterfalls and up the hills opposite.

We stayed from 11th to 14th November for the second time. We couldn't wait to get back here for another special family birthday celebration. It was just as magical as the first time we stayed, last year.
This time we brought the young children along and they loved it. Making the most of the big games room on the top floor and having the best game of hide and seek! They also loved the arctic hut in the garden with its fire pit.
We all went for a very scenic walk and enjoyed cooking in the wonderful kitchen , which has every utensil you will need.
There is also a piano which my 6 year old grandaughter enjoyed, as she is looking forward to having lessons.
An added bonus this time was finding an extra bedroom which hadn't been in use on our last visit. So thank you for that!
All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have very comfy beds and pillows. The decor is very tasteful and relaxing.
The log fire in the sitting room is so cosy . The other sitting room has a small TV should you want to use it. I'm very glad there are no other TV's to spoil the beautiful atmosphere of the house.
I could go on and on complimenting this gorgeous house with its gorgeous views. But I highly recommend that you go and see for yourself. You won't regret it.

The house is a holiday rental property. It has 8 on suite bedrooms and a large well equipped kitchen. The property has all modern amenities but still retains a period character.
It is situated close to a small village but is secluded and surrounded by fields. It is situated on a hillside with stunning views across the valley. There are many local walks availability starting from the property. It is the perfect place for a whole family holiday. Highly recommended.

Very nice house!!!. Now run as a rental it was just what we needed. Plenty of space for us and the extended family (15).
Living rooms very comfortable and the dining room made for large family dining. The kitchen was good with new cookers and plenty of fridges and a large utility room.
Basement drying room was excellent as the weather was at times changeable.
The bedrooms were all very comfortable and spacious with the majority having en suites.
The attic space with a bedroom and games room was also well liked by the younger members of the party.
The outside space was good with maintained gardens. Nice hot tub but recommend getting plenty of wood as it takes a while to get up to temperature. We didnt get to use the hobby house sadly but it looked good.
The property was really well located for walks, cycling, sightseeing etc and not far to the nearest town (Porthmadog) for supplies etc. Overall 8/10

Cae'r Blaidd, or Wolf Field, is a beautiful Victorian mansion where my family of 12 stayed to celebrate my 80th birthday. We were very comfortable, with all amenities provided and lots of luxury extras such as the games room, hot tub, arctic lodge, large garden, magnificent views and local walks. We even managed a swim in a plunge pool of the nearby river Teigl. It's the perfect accommodation in a perfect location.
