Thia is a fantastic place to stay with great facilities. It is very big and includes a hot tub. For the younger children it obtains a small on site playground with a swing and slide. It comfortably sleeps 6 people.

It's in the middle of nowhere obviously there are 2 pubs that serve amazing traditional food a few mile down the road and a mini supermarket 5 miles away. But it's got everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The owners live on the farm adjacent and both are fantastic and very helpful people. There are 2 joint barns both have thier own hot tub and BBQ on a huge decked area. Beneath the decking the land swoops down to a small river and the noise of the water is pretty relaxing anytime of the day. Wonderful walks around the valley that are easy to do however that will depend on your agility as some can be a little challenging. I would highly recommend this place. It may seem costly for just 2 people but they both sleep 6 or 7 so sharing would make the visit a lot cheaper.. great place great location great proprietors.

2 of the bedrooms and the main sitting area have high ceilings that add character and depth to the rooms. The wood burner was another welcomed functional feature. During our stay we burned the firewood on the colder nights.

The cottage is very cosy, helped by the fact that the thermostat is set at an optimal temperature making the ambient temperature within the cottage comfortable. I'm sure the owners would help out if the temperature needed adjusting on the thermostat.

The cottage is located on a working farm, and the physical location of the cottage in the foothills of the Berwyn mountains with the river Ceiriog flowing by the cottage adds to the peace and serenity. There is a part of the river which flows by quite fast and the sound of the flowing fast water is serene.

The views from the cottage are amazing. The farmland incorporates mountains and valleys, if you were to stay in the cottage all day there are at least 3 walks that can be done: one along the river Ceiriog through the valley along the mountain pass to a series of waterfalls.

Another walk can be done in the opposite direction along the river towards the village and another walk can be done ascending the mountains. During our stay we didn't need to travel very far to visit places of interest, I think the most we travelled was 16 miles.

We managed to visit the following attractions: Pistyll Rhaeadr, Chirk Castle and Pontycysyllte Aqueduct. Other than these attractions we did local walks from within the cottage site. During our stay, we got groceries delivered to our cottage using a renowned supermarket.

If we needed to top up on anything we went to a village Spar about 3 miles away.

The hot tub was a great welcomed facility at the cottage. Was lovely to wind down and relax in the hot tub whilst observing the stars, the silhouettes of the montain peaks and the soothing sound of the river Ceiriog flowing by after a long day of activity or walking.

I usually like staying at different cottages, but I think I would come back here again. The owners, the actual cottage, facilities of the cottage and natural surroundings were great. Me and my family had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Just returned from a midweek break, the barns were fantastic, spotlessly clean, well equipt and beautiful. there was a cracking welcome package full of goodies, the barn had dishwasher, washer, dryer even an iron, everything you need is here. lovely hot tub sat in it in the light snow showers looking up to the stars, surrounded by mountains, isolated ie 2 miles to nearest pub. The owners were friendly genuine people and nothing was too much trouble. i challenge anyone to find better for the price, we hope to be returning Thanks

Loved it. It is close to working farm so in spring if wind direction changes you might get a smell while being outside but other that that it is really great especially if you prefer privacy

Great place, lovely visit.

Came with a group of friends (5 of us). Place was lovely and spacious, had a BBQ and a really nice hot tub. In good weather you have a nice balcony style area to eat outside.

Had a TV to watch the football and a log burner. The bedrooms were also nice, there is also sufficient parking.

Service was nice from the owners, lovely people. In such a stunning location, there were fields to play games, mountainous area for hiking with lots of farm animals like sheep.

Be prepared for no signal and minimal WiFi out here. I do feel more could be done to provide a sronger WiFi at this place. Perhaps multiple routers?

The price was quite reasonable as well, would definitely return some day.

Absolutely fantastic, can't fault it. It's much more beautiful than the photos give credit for. Owner is fabulous and super helpful, and the views are spectacular. We will definitely be returning

Absolutely lovely location and accommodation. The owners are lovely and friendly and so welcoming. Our only negative was the wifi didn’t work at all. We had to go into town to use the free guest wifi in a pub to check on the babysitter and children. If you have no need for phone signal or wifi then this is 100% recommended.
