We stayed in one of these cottages in the summer of 2014. We had a lovely stay here. The cottage is a barn conversion; the standard of which is very high. My only complaint was the traffic noise from the adjacent road, but it was not overly intrusive and should not dissuade others from staying in this lovely place.

We stayed at Love Cottage, one of three Ivy Bush Cottages. The cottage itself was well presented being a barn conversion. Sleeps 2 in double bedroom with lounge/dining area, kitchen and bathroom. 3 miles from Saundersfoot. Our main issue was the cottage backed onto (literally the wall was roadside) the busy A477, the main trunk road to Pembroke Docks so traffic was loud day and night.

The accommodation is top notch. It's comfortable and homely all rolled into one.

The family and stayed a week and felt right at home from the very start.

The nearby A road is the only aspect of our stay that took away from that retreat atmosphere some might be looking for. We balanced that with the convenience of being able to get to nearby places quite easily and it was was not that big of an issue.

Would definitely recommend this place.

Our family stayed in Barn Owl Cottage here. And while the cottage itself was very nice, and well located for Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pembroke etc. But two big issues marred our stay.

1. The A477 is right next to the cottages. Lorries and cars thunder past nonstop during the day and at night. The cottage walls and double glazing ensure the noise isn't too bad when everything is shut down. But open a window or door if it's hot and the noise and pollution comes in immediately. This alone wasn't a deal breaker. But for the money paid, I'd expect better. But not the end of the world. But...

2. The cottage also wasn't very clean. Several towels had sticky blotches of what looked like old glue. Some of the mugs in the cupboard had stale water in from being put away wet I'd guess. And plates had encrusted food on. There were dusty bits with cobwebs. And some human hairs on the bed cover and exposed beams in one of the bedrooms. There was no grater when we got there, or scissors, so we asked for them. The grater we got was rusty. Again, these issues would have been OK if we were renting a very cheap cottage. But we weren't. We paid the kind of money you would expect to pay for a four star cottage. Which it is what it is listed at. But it was more two star in upkeep.

Very well kept and a quiet area too. The main road that runs behind the rise and hedge is barely even noticeable. You can't see it or hear it. It is well situated. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Saunders foot and 20 to get to heatherton etc. There's also a garden area where you can play games with the kids.

Set of 3 well appointed rural cottages accessed by private drive. Communal garden and lovely outlook. Only drawback is being adjacent to main road but surprisingly easy to block out traffic noise.
