Visited 5 times already, yet still, we can't get enough!

If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place for you. Whilst being isolated, it doesn't lack in comfort.

The upside-down layout and the lowset windows allow you to take in the tranquil surroundings whilst cosying up in front of the woodburning stove. Hours can be spent watching the weather fronts come in.

A typical day at RKB for us is a slow morning watching the sheep graze a stone's throw from the house, before scaling the hill behind the house to drink our tea under the red kites themselves. Hours are spent exploring the commoners & National Trust land that surrounds the property before heading back for some great food and movie night on the big screen. There is no reason for us to leave site other than for supplies and we love it for that very reason.

We've shared our little place of heaven with friends and they've loved it just as much. The 1st floor is a great space for entertaining, the kitchen is fully equipped and always sparkling, and there are no worries about having played our music too loudly.

The host is always helpful, accommodating and quick to reply which is refreshing. Yes, it may be a little more expensive than other properties in the surrounding areas but you won't find one as remote as this. A hot tub would be nice for 2021 :o)

Pictures are true to the house, I've added a few of my own however I've not got any of the main bedrooms but they are lush.

Roll on our next visit and this time it's with the famo.

Incredible location in splendid isolation: great for walking up into the hills or bird watching. The interior of the barn was designed in a very cool style, and it looked like the owners had recently done quite a lot of renovation work. The barn is "upside down”, with the living room and kitchen on the top floor, with lovely views. There is also a decked terrace running all the way around where you can sit out with a G&T and watch the sun set. This was such a relaxing break. I would recommend this barn for anyone wanting to think, write, create. Got a lot of great ideas down in my notebook. Will be coming back :)

A wonderful, beautiful retreat. We are a family of four and we all loved the barn, with its super comfortable sofas, pool table, projector screen for film nights and fantastic view. We explored the stream at the bottom of the valley, took our spaniel for a swim in the Wye, and wished we'd taken our swimming costumes so that we could join the other wild swimmers. It truly feels like an escape, remote and peaceful, a stunning barn - we can't wait to go back again.

Wow wow wow! Don’t know where to start with this review, what a magical experience it was! Me and my best friend stayed here and we loved every minute! The conker is such a unique get away and situated in the most stunning area of wales! The conker itself is a lot larger inside than you may think from pics and is equipped with everything you need! Loved using the pizza oven too we both said it was the best pizza we’ve ever eaten and the atmosphere made it extra special! With no pollution the sky was so clear and the stars were so so beautiful!! We got up early and climbed the top of the hill for the sunrise and it was the best sunrise I’ve ever witnessed, we feel blessed to have experienced such a wonderful time! I’m already looking at going back with my partner it was that great! Anjana is so professional and lovely, she is brilliant to deal with! Thanks again for a perfect chilled break it was 10/10!! (If I could mark it more I would :D x)

Red kite Barn and Childerness Estate is one of the most amazing places to stay.
The Barn is super comfortable and spacious , open plan with windows to the most beautiful scenery. The barn is well stocked with everything you may need, from logs, to literature and if your a keen cook, then you will love cooking here ! A fabulous screen protector that comes down from the ceiling and a great section of movies . A remote setting so peaceful, your worries just melt away.
The surrounding estates is full of walks and wildlife, shopping, eating and more walks a short drive . cant wait to go back !

Well what can we say a stunning barn and location with everything you could possibly need just added to by a covering of snow. We’d love to keep this place to ourselves but the owners really do have a very unique place here that they are so willing to share.

This is a great place to go on holiday in nature. I stayed here in the winter and was fortunate enough to have amazing weather. The conkers come with everything you need and it's always fun cooking on an open fire or the pizza oven they have. The cenery is great and theres endless places to explore and walk around.

Just back from a long weekend at Red Kite Barn. What an amazing place! Stunning barn conversion in a beautiful location with loads of walks straight from the door. The barn is really well equipped and has loads of extras like the pool table and projector screen, so there's plenty to do whatever the weather. And it's dog friendly too! Would recommend hiring the wood burning hot tub from Stevie. Lovely to sit out under the stars. Really like the concept of the place too with the rewilding work and the ponies and pigs, which you get to feed! Would love to visit again in the future
