Midsummer Barns

We had a wonderful stay in Dove Barn recently. Caroline could not have been more attentive and helpful even lending us a dog lead when we realised we’d forgotten ours! The barn is beautifully appointed with everything we needed. There was a wonderful welcome pack, fresh flowers and wine. There is a wood burner with a large supply of logs and 2 extremely comfy sofas which were much needed after several days of walking. The mattresses are good quality with great pillows and high quality linen. The utility room is perfect for drying boots and wet coats (very handy) There is a lovely secure garden perfect for our dog. The views from Dove Barn are spectacular.

We had such a lovely week staying in Dove Barn at the end of March. Caroline and Chris were so welcoming and the barns are beautifully designed and appointed - so cosy and comfortable especially after a days walking. We loved the main living area with log burner and wonderful views out over the garden and mountains beyond - our spaniel particularly loved the heated floor after a day in the fells! The bedrooms and bathrooms are also of the highest quality. We look forward to a return visit.

Lovely and clean with gifts left for our arrival at the start of our weeks holiday. Very comfortable and all excellent quality throughout. I understand our hosts are just renovating the village pub also/ with letting rooms (The White Horse?)...will be one to look out for if the barns we stayed in are anything to go by!

Thank you Caroline and Chris for a wonderful weeks stay. Trying to find a property that is suitable for a toddler, is of premium quality and allows two dogs is near on impossible, I almost didn't believe it when I came across Dove Barn. We enjoyed ourselves so much and cannot wait to come back next year. The property is well located with easy access to M6/A66 and also the lakes. The nearest shops is 20 mins so make sure you have picked up essentials, but lovely homemade yoghurt is available direct from the farm.

We had the most amazing time at the Barn, honestly perfect place and location! Caroline was so kind and surprised us with homemade brownies and wine on arrival, very very kind. Even on the last day we had a flat tyre and had to wait for a garage to come out, she allowed us to have a later check out. Couldn’t recommend enough, very beautiful, clean and we loved the wood fireplace!

A beautiful house , perfectly located for a relaxing, walk filled holiday in this wonderful area of the UK.
We were made to feel very welcome by Caroline and no question or request was too much.
Bed were super comfortable and we really enjoyed the log burner.
Would definitely recommend Moon Barn to anyone!

An absolutely beautifully converted barn with stunning views of the countryside. Located in a pretty unspoilt village not far from the lakes. The beds were so comfortable, you could just sink into them. The owner was very thoughtful and accommodating with a wealth of knowledge of the local area. It was very hard to leave - we will certainly be back!

We spent a lovely family Christmas in the beautiful Dove Barn. The house is spacious and decorated to perfection, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a tasty Christmas dinner. The log burner and heated floors kept us all warm during the cold nights, our dog particularly loved the heated flooring and there was a large enclosed garden for him to run around in. The bedrooms all had comfortable mattresses and were gorgeous. Caroline and Chris were welcoming and attentive, it was a shame to leave the barn, we will most definitely be back!
