Orchard Cottage

We had a great time there with family and friends. The cottage is decorated with a style. It is very nice and clean. Quiet in the evening and the bed is very comfortable. You can go to the seaside, the national park within thirty minutes drive. I especially love the garden. I had a wonderful time there with my children. Lovely place for a break. Definitely we will be back.

Stayed at the cottage with 7 adults and 7 young children. The cottage oozes character and definitely adds to the Devon experience. Loved the peace and quiet. Lots of room and very comfortable. The garden was first class and perfect for young children to explore.We all absolutely loved it, especially the grandchildren. One week was not enough and we will definitely be booking again next year...hopefully a little longer. Great holiday we will all remember.

We had a lovely stay at Orchard Cottage with two other friend families. What a little gem it was. Delightful location, lovely rooms, and a superb garden! Nothing was too much trouble and the owners prepared all the info we probably needed. The rooms were well equipped with lots of finishing touches. The cottage was ideally located and merely 30 mins drive from the Woolacombe beach, which was a most extraordinary beach I would say. It’s perfectly placed for visiting most parts of Devon. The mattress in the downstair room was soooo comfy, the loo downstair was a bit of a squeeze (there was a spacious bathroom though), but all in all it had everything you needed for a escape to the country. Our friends, the kids, my hubby and myself all had a special time, peaceful and relaxing. Definitely will recommend this cottage to our friends and hopefully we will return:) 😝

Spent a lovely weekend with friends in the cottage. The rooms were clean, bright and well decorated. There was plenty of space for all of us and we all enjoyed BBQs in the garden and darts in the games room. It's also a really handy location to explore Devon from.

Fantastic cottage. We really enjoyed our stay. Its the second time we have stayed here, this time we went with several friends. Its a large cottage so all of us fitted in fine. There is loads to do in the area, we visited Barnstaple, Exmoor and Minehead. We had a great time and the cottage is really in the heart of North Devon in a rural area yet with good road links.

The cottage is very charming with a thatched roof. The is a games room with fuzball for the kids. A lovely kitchen diner forms the heart of the house. There are many period features including the period staircase, fireplaces, cottage windows with views over the secluded garden.

We felt very much at home, the kitchen is well equipped with many modern features.

Certainly this is a strong recommended.

Lovely cottage great location highly recommended, we stayed as a group of 10 with two dogs. The property is clean tidy and stocked with everything you need. plenty of things to do in small radius and the best part was the kids off their phones and playing in the garden and orchard.
We will be coming back again.

We had a wonderful time this summer in Orchard Cottage. It's set in a secluded area with a nice garden, and it has easy access to several beaches, walks and shops in the nearby town of Barnstaple. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the kitchen has everything we needed. You can tell that the owners have put in lots of heart and energy in creating the most memorable experience for every visitor to this medieval cottage. We would definitely want to come back again.
