Malton Grange Lodges

It is a lovely well kept area, staff are always available and plenty of parking. The cabins are excellent and it's secure you have to have a pass code to enter the park. Quite and clean and plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding area.

I booked to stay at lilac lodge for the weekend with a few friends, i received check in details and quickly scanned the message and saw that there was a pin code to get in so i forwarded it to my sister so she could check in as she was arriving before us. We arrived Friday night to what looked to be our lodge, my sister had no difficulty getting in and had set up balloons and banners for me. About an hour after we arrived a very rude woman came to the door and asked us what we were doing in there and if we had booked i replied yes we have booked and paid through airbnb. The woman then accused us of being in the wrong lodge telling us there was another family now waiting in the car park with no where to go as we were in their lodge, obviously we all felt awful especially my sister. We was very apologetic and offered to clean up and pack our stuff up and move but she said there was no cleaners and we couldn't do that so we had to stay, she was extremely passive aggressive and rude and went on to stay that the other lodge isn't at all similar (even though it was the exact same lay out, bedrooms , hot tub etc) but that there was no other options. The next day i racked my brains wondering how that happened as we received the pin instructions and it let us in perfectly, i checked my emails to which i found that they had sent us the check in details for Crystal lodge which was not the lodge i booked!! So that made sense as to why we could get in, after all the guilt she made us feel on the Friday night it turns out this was their error and not ours after all. As it was dark when we arrived and as we'd never been before we knew no different. On Sunday morning i walked up to reception to tell the woman that it wasn't in fact our fault but an error on their behalf she was a bit shocked to find the truth and it took her a good while before i heard an apology after she first tried to shift the blame back onto us and asked why i had not checked the check in details properly, even though that is not my responsibility, that is their responsibility to send our the correct information and no one else's. There was 6 of us in the lodge but there was only towels laid out for 4, so we had to share towels all weekend as we daren't go ask for anymore thinking we had messed up. We also found a huge dead spider under the bed sheets too which when i mentioned to her i didn't even get an apology, just a ''I'm glad i didn't find it i would have freaked''! I would not recommend this place to anyone, although the lodges were nice and we did have a lovely weekend besides the drama this whole fiasco put a dampner on it and working in customer service myself i can 100% say that this is not how you treat and speak to paying customers!!

Brilliant lodges. Stayed before aswell and we will absolutely be back. Kids lived the hot tub and it is furnished really well. Thanks alot. We stayed in 8 lilac the orchards. Only 1 fault with a bath plug not draining. Fixed almost straight away. Can't ask for more

1 STAR for the location. We stayed for 1 night in April and the room was a good size but unfortunately the place was not clean properly and smell. Luckily it was only 1 night and will not be staying there in the future.

Great clean lodge. Fantastic hot tub. Good place to go and relax as not much to do apart from flamingo land. The beds where not that comfortable but got use to it just sleep in the middle.

AMAZING WEEKEND!! So happy with this site, we can't wait to visit again, lodges are beautifully finished to a high standard, clean and fresh, such a peaceful setting for a relaxing weekend, the maintence man was so helpful when we first arrived and asked if we needed anything, we had actually forgot sugar to which he brought some straight away, we had an issue with our hot tub and again straight away he came to fix it, really happy with the customer service we received from him and made us feel at home, thank you and hopefully we will be back

What a weekend! Little bit of a problem when we arrived but that soon got sorted, such a lovely peaceful park which is just what we wanted for a relaxing weekend, Jake the maintenance guy was so very helpful and was there day and night to help with whatever we needed, the service he provided was second to none, will defo be back for another visit!!!

What a wonderful weekend from start to finish, the lodge itself was beautiful and well looked after and spotlessly clean, Jake the Maintenance guy helped so much with any enquires we had, he was very polite overall very impressed and will defo be back
