The cottage smelt musty, the stairs were hazardous, thought ten oclock depart time was a little early especially as i turned round to find a man at the open kitchen door at approximately 9.50, also I have seen on your review of our stay that there was dog wee on the kitchen floor, this was not the case as i had dripped a little from my cup of tea and had used the mop to clean it up!!

We've stayed here a couple of times, it feels friendly snug and warm. Well furnished with all you need. We came back so that says something.

Lovely little cottage in a peaceful village, just outside Kendal. Supermarkets, chip shops and all other amenities are a couple of minutes drive away, so are within easy reach. The cottage is small, but more than big enough for a couple or small family with two double beds in two bedrooms, plus a sofabed downstairs. The kitchen/diner is well equipped and the sitting room is cosy with a huge TV. The road outside is too narrow to park, but free parking is available outside the village hall just round the corner. We pulled up for a few mins to unload then parked up. Plenty of walks are available from the door, with great views from The Helm, a hill overlooking the village. Highly recommended, we will definitely book again soon.
