We had a delightful stay at Brynglas cottage.

It was in a perfect location with stunning views surrounding the cosy cottage. Birdsong, sheep in the neighbouring field, running stream water and a beautiful floral display from the garden greeted us on arrival. This made our stay very peaceful and calming, making our holiday more relaxing.

There was everything we needed for our stay, well stocked with quality laundry and hand washing products. We loved your eco and social care values. A great welcome package, which was a lovely touch. The wood burner made us feel cosy and warmed the whole house. All the furnishings fabrics and bedding made for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

The weather was mixed but it didn’t mater as we enjoyed the wonderful refurbished cottage which had lovely family items and beautiful artwork. The standard of cleaning and interiors of the property was incredibly high, the photos don’t do it justice.

It was just a shame we could only book 4 nights as we could have properly relaxed in the glorious setting with the stunning mountains. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning rural location. Brynglas has been styled with love & good thought. Everything you need, very clean & comfortable. Stayed with our two children (probably not a place to go if your goods are very young but was absolutely fine for our 7/9 year olds) who loved the sheep in the back field. Brilliant wifi connection if that matters to you.

What a wow factor property to stay in.
The property itself is compact but with plenty of space. Furniture is top notch.bit not over the top. Views of sheep and forest behind. And hills in front.
Even down to the chirping family of sparrows living under the tiles above the bathroom. Or the robins next door.
And watching the mist sitting a top the hills.
It's a place to hear silence.

Highly recommended

Thank you for providing uch a beautiful base for us to
explore this stunning part of Wales.
We've had a very comfortable stay and have enjoyed sitting outside reading with a glass of wine when the weather has been kind, admiring the beautiful panoramic views. We hope to return before too long.

We had the best week in September in this lovely cottage. Perfectly placed in a quiet valley near the river. Plenty of great walks/hikes from the doorstep! The cottage was impecable and I’d love to bring my mom here :)

This cottage is an absolute gem, and I can't wait to book my next visit. The owners have managed to strike a perfect balance between style and function - the bathroom and kitchen are practically designed, and very enjoyable to use, and the dining and lounging areas extremely comfortable. I really appreciated the way the cottage had been decorated to modern standards, but without losing any of its essential Welsh character. We particularly enjoyed the terrace, and spent loads of time out there when the weather was dry. Although there's a lane going right past the house, there was barely any traffic (one or two vehicles per hour), and it was a lovely peaceful vantage point to enjoy the view, and to stargaze on clear nights. If you're into cycling or hiking, you could easily spend a week or two just exploring the immediate surroundings, and there's plenty of space for muddy boots, and a secure shed (and a hosepipe) for bikes. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed.

We absolutely loved our Christmas holiday at Brynglas! On Christmas Day we had dinner at the Cawdor in nearby Llandeilo and spent the rest of the day at the cottage, by a fire in the wood stove, reading and listening to BBC Cymru. Serene.

The proximity of the cottage to Llandovery was very convenient for groceries and restaurants, but it’s also in a perfect location for outdoor activities, such as a short and stunning drive to and along the Devil’s Staircase or a mile’s walk to Cwm Rhaeadr Forest. With the cottage as a base, there’s so much (castles, beaches, forests, towns, etc.) to explore in a relatively short radius, but staying at home is always welcome. The time of year we visited, sunset was around 4pm or earlier, and we were always delighted if we tucked in earlier just to enjoy a relaxing evening in the cozy den. The rainy nights in Wales are no disappointment when you're relaxing and watching the raindrops on the skylight windows in the sloping ceilings of the upstairs bedrooms. One lucky night we also got a clear sky when we could look up at streams of stars from the front porch.

The owners of the cottage made things very convenient for us. Entering, we were welcomed with local treats, coffee, and tea left for us on the table. The washing machine was a lifesaver since, traveling from the US, we needed to refresh what little we packed a couple of times during our stay. The Welsh hand soap smelled divine, the wool throw blankets were warm and comfy, and the history provided in the photos and bookshelves was fascinating. One feels as if the cottage’s owners have given practical thought to everything one might need who’s not a regular dweller in a more rural environment, while simultaneously supporting local products and environmentally sound design choices. Very well done! They were also extraordinarily helpful and communicative from the time we booked right through to the hours after we left, available with tips on anything we had questions about during our stay, whether it had to do with the house or the area. Would absolutely book again!

Our 4 night stay at Brynglas cottage was perfect. We were purposely looking for somewhere scenic and relaxing and Brynglas answered all of these requirements. We had a fantastic time, the cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need with the comfiest beds and a log fire in the living room. The owners went above and beyond providing guidance pre and during our arrival. So many thoughtful touches and we loved reading about the renovation and history of the cottage. They also provided lots of information about the local area and the facilities. The cottage is in wonderful location with easy access to many attractions across the area, as well as lovely walks right on your doorstep. A great little pub within walking distance as well. We would highly recommend staying here and we cannot wait to visit again. A fantastic stay and really appreciate the lovely thoughtful touches from the owners. If you are thinking of looking to stay here, book it - we promise you will not be disappointed.
