Brackenbury Cottage

We were delighted to stay at Brackenbury Cottage and had a wonderful holiday there. The cottage itself was warm, comfortable and homely, equipped with everything we needed. The owners were friendly, providing really useful information in advance and swiftly handling a minor problem while we were there.
The Beddgelert area is lovely - we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the excellent local shops and hostelries, and the opportunities to venture further afield to beaches, castles and mountains. Thanks very much!

Dog friendly, clean, comfy cottage in a good location for walking and exploring North Wales. I can highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic time a week ago in Brackenbury cottage. This was our second visit and stay and was great to be back. The weather was sunny all week. We just adore the location of this cottage.

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, dog and I had the most enjoyable holiday in this delightful cottage. We loved the cottage and indeed the whole area as soon as we arrived. The cottage fronts onto an extremely picturesque green and is alongside the beautiful little Glaslyn river. The village has several nice pubs and cafes, a very useful general store - and in my view best of all - a fantastic ice cream parlour. The walks from the cottage (meaning you don’t need to drive anywhere) are abundant and amazing. The cottage itself is very comfortable, welcoming and has everything that you need for the most wonderful stay - which we all agreed we had. Proof is in the pudding as they say and we re-booked immediately for next year!

Gem of a find. Charming quaint little cottage ideally placed at the heart of Beddgelert a magical place. Perfect location to explore Snowdonia and North Wales. Our first visit was when our children were young. They had such fond memories of the cottage and our stay, they still want to come back with us now they are older. Jill and her family are amazing accommodating hosts. You won't find a better place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Brackenbury Cottage. It has wonderful oldy-worldy charm and is set in such a beautiful riverside location. The cottage has all the mod cons you need for a comfortable stay (including a nice comfy bed!) but also has enough of it's original character to give it a cosy feel. With lots of books, period furniture and a log fire it makes it feel really homely. Perfectly placed for a short walk to the village shop, pubs & coffee shops and also plenty of long walks along the valley or up into the hills. Unusual for Beddgelert, there is also private parking which is an absolute bonus. Like so many others who have posted reviews on here, we enjoyed our stay so much that we have already rebooked for 2022 ! Thank you to Jill & the family for sharing their lovely home, and long may it continue 😊

The cottage is warm and cosy and perfectly placed for walking holidays. Beautiful views. The kitchen is well equipped; shops, pubs and ice cream parlour are within walking distance. The conservatory gives you extra space to enjoy the scenery while keeping dry. Drying room is a real bonus!

Had a lovely cosy weekend staying at the Brackenbury Cottage. Fabulous setting and just what we wanted. The owners are great and really helpful. Look forward to going again soon.
