Cracking location with a relaxing atmosphere. Very reasonable group rates and perfect for groups of mountain bikers. The owner is totally helpful and a pleasure to do business with.

Stayed at this cottage recently only to experience a barking dog all night which comes around all the time scaring children. Accommodation very expensive compared to what is provided. Very dusty and old furniture which needs to be condemned. Curtains dirty and hanging off the rails. No duet provided despite of the price we pay. Property not maintained to the standard. In one word 'AVOID '

Gilfach Wen Barn is part of a working farm and from the experience, we reckon that this is converted into a living space from an actual barn. Gilfach Wen Barn has all the characteristics of a barn preserved in the design of the house – farmland, grazing areas, sheep, horses, dog(s) and goats grazing around the barn. This place is certainly well designed for use by large groups and it was a really good space for our group of 15 and a dog! The barn is private and is situated in a really quiet location. Fabulous host, Jillie, who genuinely could not do enough to make us welcome. She was very helpful and informative. The rooms were clean and tidy and perfect for our stay. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Not quite dusabled friendly though access to most appliances and needs were on ground level. Enjoyed my weekend there.
