Lovely area st David’s and we will visit again but not at this property. We encountered a few issues which you should be aware of but up to you if you are happy to carry on. Heating is fun and games and the hot water comes on infrequently and difficult to adjust so in the winter make sure you have warm pyjamas. No lights outside so in the pitch black use torches this is ok but when driving through the gates be aware of a raised wall which is impossible to see in the dark we scratched one of the cars on. No unrecyclable bin storage so we placed large bricks over these outside to stop animal attack. We recycled tons but you always have some you can’t. Drove an hour round trip over new year to dump rubbish but got no thanks for it. Then we were blamed for damaging a toilet seat, damaging remote controls leaving food in freezer behind (there was plenty there when we arrived) my advice if any damage seen on arrival or noted take pictures and send or you will be paying for them. The contact for the cottage was very abrupt and couldn’t really be bothered with our questions and wouldn’t talk with us directly. The kitchen is a busy one plenty of utensils but probably too much stuff and sink for cleaning big pans a bit small. There were some nice touches with piano and big tv with Netflix although WiFi was very weak. Overall holiday was nice in a lovely area we will stay nearer the sloop inn next time lovely staff and food great just be aware of this cottage needing to learn how to treat customers well.

Stunning location with amazing sea and mountain views. The coastal path is just a few minutes walk from the house. Lovely antique furniture and furnishings and very interesting collection of artwork. Nix is a great host and gave us lots of good local info. Brynymor is a great space for a large group staycation. Looking forward to staying next year and seeing the new wildlife pond and peacocks!

I had a wonderful stay here for my birthday over this last weekend. Nix was very welcoming, warm, friendly and hospitable. I stayed in the large room with the copper bath which has fantastic views and the bath tub is absolutely incredible!! If you love a bath like me, you must book this room! You can see the sea from inside the tub and it’s just perfection ☺️

The location is quite remote so if you want peace and quiet this is the perfect place to book. There is a beach a 4 minute drive away and local towns are all within short drives.

On arrival to the cottage we were so very upset to find that the cottage was having extensive building work done as the bathroom was being renovated. The cottage was very dusty and dirty. The garden and driveway was littered with building materials pallets radiators a bath and a drum labelled hydrochloric acid. We felt the cottage was totally uninhabitable but we have been refused any refund of our £798 . The only chance we stand of a refund is through the small claims courts. Appalling !!!!

The owners response below does not reflect what we found on arrival as photos taken show.
We were not early, we had no other holiday booked we were a family of 5 with 2 dogs and looking forward to our stay.
We were shocked and very disappointed.
Defamation of character and breaching data protection act by publishing my name and address is their only defence.
Needless to say even though the owner broke the terms and conditions of their contract with the agents we have been refused a refund.
