We stayed at "The Cwtch" from 6th June - 10th June 2022 for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Such a gorgeous peaceful idyllic setting for a couple to get away and relax. Our anniversary gifts made us feel quite special when we arrived.

The Cwtch is beautifully presented and feels homely with the bonus of a hot tub, sauna and a bath in the bedroom. And what views! Fields all around with your own duck pond, the odd squirrel coming to say hello. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a hare casually hopping up the gravel drive.

I think it would be hard to beat this romantic gettaway, we will definitely be back ❤

We stayed at their Hideaway cottage and had a memorable week in sublime Welsh scenery. Plenty to do including a walk to the source of the River Severn and Snowdonia train not walk 😁) ending with a heavenly hot stone massage at the on site beauty salon. Would recommend staying here and hope to visit again.

This is the nicest place I have stayed in the UK! If you want a peaceful and relaxing getaway this is the place to go! So quiet and remote and the lodge is absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again

Stayed with some friends at bedw barn for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pool was heated. Sauna and jacuzzi was well enjoyed. Huge dining room with everything you would ever need. Couldn't have asked for more. Made our weekend. Thanks all

We had a pleasant time at Bedw barn the weather was glorious.
Wouldn’t class it as a luxury barn though as over the weekend we stayed issues with the establishment came to light :

Door handles were hanging off 2 different toilets, and members of our party got stuck inside them , repairs putting them back in place was carried out by ourselves.

The fridge was filthy on arrival and cleaned it out before putting our food inside.

Cooker only average family size and not really big enough for a party of 14 , but had to make do with what we had .

Swimming pool didn’t contain enough chemicals and after swimming in it your skin smelled like bog , on the 3 day of our stay it was cloudy and unusable, I called property manager and asked not to use it as needed to get it ready for Monday’s guests , that was not fair as we had paid for the weekends use of this.

Hot tub was temperamental and not all jets worked , shower in there doesn’t work.cobwebs everywhere in the outbuilding it was in.

Water pressure was pot luck , showers were more often than not cold.

Asked to be quiet just after 10pm , was looking forward to being in the Welsh hills and away from neighbours but that was not the case.

The lake in front of the property came with an abundance of flies , they were everywhere and woke you while sleeping.

On a brighter note the scenery was beautiful and did feel like you could enjoy the Welsh countryside but there are other properties onsite so cars came and went.

This was a different weekend away for our party and when the swimming pool was clean and able to use it we did enjoy being able to cool off after being in the heat of the sun, just disappointing the pool filter system/ chemicals weren’t adequate.

The bedrooms were nice with clean bedding & towels but depending were you were situated in the barn , you could here every step anyone made going up the stairs to the living area.

Because of all my above comments, I can only give 3 stars for our weekend spent there in July 2021

Just returned from a week's stay here, firstly I would say the photos don't do it justice, you need to see for yourself, the views are wonderful and resulting in wonderful sunsets, and the whole building is yours and you feel it's quite private.

The bedding and towels are clean.

We got quite lucky with the weather being fantastic, allowing us to use the outdoor space really well, and coupled with the indoor facilities, this gave us enough to do during our stay, resulting in us only leaving the property for 2 days.

The reason for only giving a 3 star is because there are issues, that were possibly there before our arrival, and similar to a review 3 years ago.

-On arrival, there is no welcome pack, only a card on the side unit as you enter the property, giving you very brief instructions, therefore I had to text quite a few times during the first few days, asking how to turn on the wine cooler, the pin for the sky channels as it didn't work the first day, things that would be or should be covered in a welcome pack.

-The first thing we noticed, was that the flush button on the toilet near the cinema room was stuck in, so I notified the owner, and they were aware.

-Unfortunately, there was only one side of the hot tub working, which the owner was aware of. Which then meant we had to take turns to use it, and there were bits of dirt at the bottom, there is a shower inside that they ask you to use before entering the tub, but it wasn't working.
There are no hooks to hang your towels and there were quite a few cobwebs around the door, which suggests it hasn't been cleaned for a while.

-There was a couple of areas that had ants, one was the toilet in the kitchen area, they seem to come from behind the toilet brush, and the other area was the cinema room, the owner provided us with ant spray for this.

-The swimming pool is advertised as 'Indoor heated pool', this was definitely not heated, as all but once getting in, it was cold.
The owner said it was set at 28 degrees!!.

-We had water pressure issues from Monday onwards, we had times where no water came out of the taps, resulting in the dishwater not being able to complete the cycle, the shower in the ensuite room kept running hot and cold, and it seemed like there was no running hot water from the taps.
I text the owner on Monday night to say that the water pressure had gone again, and as it stands, I've still not received a reply.

-There were a couple of areas that require a bit more attention to cleaning, like under the sofa in the kitchen, and we found an earring in the pool.

Although I've written what seems to be a lot of negative points, I would say it's more pointers to get the 5-star review, for your 5 stars advertised property(Constructive criticism if you like).

Thankfully the above points didn't ruin our stay, hence our 3-star review.

This could be what you advertise in the future, but there are the things mentioned above before you get there.

Good luck in the future!!

This is the second stay at the barn .... it is in a lovely setting with stunning views, but the reason for only 3 stars is
1- Toilet not flushing constantly filling up .
2- Toilet door handle broken
3- showers dismal , just a trickel with no hot water and if god forbid anyone was using any taps then showers just stopped.
4- needs a deep clean
5- looking quite tired , worktops looking a bit shabby
I think a 5* luxury property should have everything spot on for the price you pay id expect alot more .
