Fantastic accommodation in a remote location. Spacious rooms, amenities are excellent and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Plenty of places to go walking and the hosts provide plenty of local information. County roads are a bit tight so be careful on the route in.

Wow this place is exceptional! We recently stayed here for a few days and were so impressed with it. The location is just stunning and the facilities were great (for both humans and dogs). We have an outdoor loving two year old child and a very large (and social awkward) dog so struggle to find places to holiday as a full family. This place was just perfection. The fully enclosed outdoor area of the cottage and the private woods right next to it were ideal for us and meant we could relax for the first time on a dog inclusive holiday, no worrying about where the child or dog were wondering off to. Both the dog and child enjoyed their walks in the woods, being able to roam freely and get as muddy as they wanted, so the outdoor warm water dog shower came in very handy - for both the dog and the child!
The original part of the cottage is simply stunning and later extensions mean that you don't have to compromise on space, there is plenty of room for everyone (ps ask Donna about the history of the building - it's fascinating and she's more than happy to tell you all about it).
During the day we tried to squeeze in as many visits as we could to the many local beauty spots. I'd highly recommend visiting Pistyll Rhaeader, a stunning waterfall that is less than a 20 minute drive from the cottage and is very deservedly listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales.
We had family come to join us for some of the visit, it just so happened that heavy rain was forecast for that afternoon so we decided to stay at the cottage and make the most of the entertainment in the games room - lots of space for us all and plenty of games that allowed us to get quite competitive!
The bed we stayed in was huge! It easily accommodated us two grown ups plus a toddler that likes to join us at 4am and then fall asleep horizontally across the bed. The size of the bed meant that we enjoyed an undisturbed lie in for the first time in a long time! The lie ins were much needed as we made the most of the evenings, after the child was in bed, by staying up much later than usual to cook in the raised barbecue area whilst enjoying the view, then watch the sunset and relax in the hot tub, accompanied by quite a bit of champagne!
Our stay here was perfect and we can't wait to rebook again next year. We are going to book as a big group next time with our siblings and their children. We can't wait for them to experience this special place with all the fun and relaxation it provides.

Love this place. Great views and no one to be bothered by loud noise. The owners are very nice. The roads are a bit scary at night if you are not used to pot holes and small country lanes. WiFi is fine (AVG 2.5 down and 1 up (mb/s)) connect to tai Bach WiFi not the by one (same password for both) but the tai one reaches all around the place.

Absolutely loved staying here, on my special friend Jane's hen weekend( couldn't post any other photos..what happens at Tanat Valley stays at Tanat valley) However perfect location, very adaptable for 15 of us, great facilities, easy to access via motorways, a5 and a few scenic lanes, would love to return with my 4 legged friends 😀

The place is ideal in lots of ways, lots of countryside. Many unpleasant smells due to open fires, chlorine and lack of ventilation was an issue. Considering how many it accommodates, there was not a table which the whole group could sit around.
