This is a big house and space is the biggest asset of this holiday home. This place is in the thick of the Afan Valley and you can see the hills from the front and back of the property and you literally feel like you are in the valley.

The living room is huge and is great for entertainment as it has a big sofa, big TV and a pool table.

Kitchen is big too and there's a separate dining room with a big dining table. There's a separate utility room too. There's a spare downstairs bedroom as well.

This furnished holiday home comes fully stocked with white goods, full range of kitchen utensils, a mini library, a selection of TVs both upstairs and downstairs. It even has a big collection of kids' toys and puzzles. A couple of high chairs are provided too in the dining room for younger kids.

Upstairs bedrooms are spacious too and the two bigger bedrooms have 4 and 5 separate beds. This house is easily big enough for groups of around 15 to 20 people.

Though the property offers WiFi, the broadband connection is too slow (around 1.5 MBPS download), but still good enough to stream from YouTube. The WiFi was very unreliable and the router needed restarting several times a day. The wireless printer provided works OK. You don't get much of a mobile signal too.

We can easily park around five cars at the front of the property. And there's a lockable garage as well.

Even though we had a nice time at this holiday home, there's one issue I wanted to highlight. It's the hot water! Bathing had been a bit of an issue, as the electric showers were very temperamental, and sometimes didn't give out any hot water at all. Or sometimes, water turned cold in the middle of the shower. Heating is also so-so.

The decorative condition of the property could do with some improvements as it looks a bit dated inside.

Don't let the above comments about hot water and heating put you off, as this is not much of an issue in non-winter months.

This property is close to Afan Valley Visitor Centre, from where you can set off on your walking and cycling trails. We tried a few walking trails and we enjoyed the natural beauty.

Excellent size house in a fantastic location
However after going a couple of times over the last couple of years it's clear it's ready for a few new showers as they are rubbish . The water pressure is terrible. 20 mins to run a bath. 5 mins to fill kitchen sink. And the house is geared for up to a dozen or more people but impossible for more than 1 to shower at a time. Fix that and it would be 5 star

Fantastic! Very spacious and enjoyable. Did not feel cramped at all despite having 14 people. Many things to do and would highly recommend

I've never stayed here, I just clean the windows 😉 but it's awesome location for Afan mtb trails.
