Great little cottage if you want a secluded getaway by the Welsh coast. It's set off the main road down a single track road and isn't close to any shops really but as long as you don't mind popping to one of the local towns to do a shop, it offers a nice relaxing holiday for a small family. The kitchen is good for cooking, the open plan design is good for keeping an eye on little terrors and the hot tub and log burner are good for unwinding after they're in bed. Great views from your front door don't hurt either!

We had booked to stay here in February 2023 unfortunately due to work commitments we can no longer make the visit. We had to cancelled 3days after making the booking to be then refused a refund. We had No communication from the own & little from Airbnb.
Just the Refund refused. £159 is not a small amount. So please be aware & avoid.

A lovely comfortable cottage which is family and dog friendly. The king-size bed is incredible and excellent quality with a great ensuite wet room with an excellent shower.

The living area offers very comfortable two and three seater sofas and a winter warming woodburner along with a flat screen tv with freeview.

The kitchen and dining area is adequately facilitated and upstairs offers a lovely roll top bath and shower with the addition of a twin bedroom.

The WiFi has a good connection and speed. There is also ground under floor heating as well as both a dishwasher and washing machine.

Outside there is Parking for two cars if needed and a picnic bench to enjoy the views of the countryside and town of Aberystwyth.

Additionally there is the hot tub to relax and unwind in.

We really enjoyed our stay here but there are a few things we feel need attention to. We felt the cottage is a bit tired and could do with sprucing up a bit to bring it into the new decade and back to the standards it once was.

One thing we really didn't like was the contrast of views. At the front of the cottage you have lovely views but from the side window in the bedroom and where the hot tub is, you have the displeasure of a mountain of bricks and a dumping ground of old farming machinery. They aught to call up Drew Pritchard from Salvage Hunters to clear it. There's some right relics but I'm sorry, it's not particularly pleasant to see.

Though we felt welcomed with the generosity of a loaf of local freshly baked bread, delicious welsh cakes, butter, milk and a lovely bunch of carnations, we thought it was odd that there was no welcome pack or what there is shows no pride and very outdated, scruffy and hand written suggestions from previous customers.

We felt there could have been up to date information on the areas attractions, how to operate things such as the hot tub and instructions on how to work the under floor heating, etc.

Kitchen appliances...kettle, toaster, microwave and crockery could do with being replaced as they are old and well used. Additionally a couple of roasting trays, a mixing bowl and dust pan and brush.

The doors and windows could do with a sanding and varnish. The hot tub head rests could do with being replaced as they are very worn.

Also a new TV with smart features...it's been a long week with freeview and our firestick didn't work.

Finally a new duvet downstairs...we spilt a glass of water on the bed and took the cover off to dry both out on the airer and it is really old and worn.

Aside from the above, we had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to others. We just feel some attention to detail and minor restoration is needed to bring it back up to the standards it clearly was once.

Thank you

Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed, clean, warm, comfortable. Brilliant location. Just relaxed for four days. Great for romantic get away or for site seeing. Local to beaches, car needed. Had a lovely stay. Lovely hot tub for that nice evening wind down after long walks on the coast . Views are amazing from cottage.

Great weekend here with all the facilities necessary for a 'home from home' visit. Beautiful surroundings and my spaniel enjoyed the experience too.
