Hafod Hideaways

We were so lucky to have stay at Hafod Hideaways last year pretty much as soon as lockdown lifted! What a retreat - the setting is absolutely stunning and there's so many places to stroll, walk and hike. The cabin itself was perfect, it had everything we needed and more! We made the most of the outdoor space as we had a little heat wave - it was such a relaxing haven that we really didn't want to leave!

Without doubt a stunning well put together place. We had a lovely rest and the cabin is very well equipped. However, there is a very,very long list of rules and you should be advised to read every inch of the rule book/welcome pack. Also be advised that even the slightest amount of accidental damage, like a scratch or spillage will ensure you will lose some or all of your deposit. Also make sure you checkout on time and leave the place totally spotless.

Absolutely beautiful retreat! The most perfect place to get away and relax. From the wood fired hot tub to cooking on the open stove, it’s back to basics with absolute luxury. The owners provide everything you could think of, and helpfully suggested some activities we could try in the area. We accidentally damaged something whilst staying, and the owners were incredibly generous and did not make us feel anything other than supported. Felt completely relaxed and accommodated the whole trip- would revisit and recommend in a heartbeat.

An amazing off grid luxury retreat that’s easy to get to. The cabin is cosy, comfortable and well equipped with lots of really well thought out touches. We loved being able to completely switch off and relax and have already booked a return visit!

We had the most wonderful time at Hafod Hideways after our wedding. The cabin is set in beautiful scenery, and its secluded location provided much needed respite and relaxation. It's clear that Pip and Lee have thoroughly thought through everything in the cabin, and all the little touches helped to turn the stay into something truly wonderful. Despite the remoteness of the place we felt well looked after due to the planning and detail that has clearly been put into the cabin, from the lovely hot shower to the great selection of books. Not having to get in the car for a week was a welcome change and explored the estate on a series of beautiful walks. It felt so special to get back to basics (candlelight and wood fires) whilst being able to see the amazing wildlife. Birdwatching from the veranda was a particular highlight and being awoken each day by the sound of the busy local woodpecker was special indeed. We can't thank Pip and Lee enough for sharing this incredible place with us and are already planning another trip back. We can highly recommend Hafod Hideways for those looking to relax and reconnect with nature in a beautiful part of Wales.

We stayed at Woodcock Cabin for three nights in September to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it did not disappoint on any level.
The cabin is set in a beautifully secluded position adjacent to a babbling stream in the heart of the magnificent estate, surrounded by nothing but breathtaking countryside.
The Cabin is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and the log burner was simple to light, and the supply of logs was more than enough.
The log fired hot tub was wonderful and equally easy to operate, and once up to temperature remained warm for hours.
The weather was kind and we only had occasional showers, so we were able to cook on the open firepit and enjoy the full off grid experience.
Even during heavy rain at night the cabin was warm and cosy.
This is a wonderful place to stay for anyone seeking peace and solitude, and we would highly recommend it. We hope to revisit ourselves in the future.

Pip and Lee should be very proud of what they've created in this mini escape from the world. It was exactly what was needed and did us both a lot of good. The attention to detail in the cabin was exceptional and we got the breakfast hamper too which sorted us out.

Waking up in the morning, getting in the hot tub to have a morning coffee was a highlight. Then hiking around the Hafod estate during the day, to then come back to sit out infront of the fire, glass of wine in hand, looking out at the perfectly clear starlit night was a next level experience. I can recommend to anyone who's willing to switch their phone off for a weekend and enjoy life and peace of mind.

Incredible weekend in this magical cabin. Had absolutely everything you need and is designed beautifully. Left feeling fully refreshed and like we really switched off for a weekend. Wood fired hot tub is amazing! Could not recommend enough 🙌🙌
