My recent stay at Robins Realm was above and beyond what I expected. As a novice Vegan, I wanted to learn how I could hone in on my cooking skills (not that there was much there to begin with!) and really get back to basics with food. As a solo traveller I was nervous, but Robin really is the most welcoming host. I immediately felt at ease and knew I would have a wonderful stay. The course was excellent from start to finish, and Robins knowledge is invaluable. I learnt to cook various dishes and Robin taught me lots of handy tips and ways to be creative with food. The farmhouse itself is authentic and homely and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views alone from the farmhouse are absolutely breath-taking. I would recommend Robins Realm to anyone who is curious about meat-free cooking, or even someone who already is vegan and would like to learn more. You will not be disappointed!

Had a fanstastic stay here at Robins Realm - so much so that we are back less than a month later for a birthday weekender! We enjoyed beautiful food from Robin all weekend , and explored some great pubs and enjoyed the storm - Stayed in both the Farmhouse and the Cottage and couldn't recommend it more.

Our only regret was not being there for longer, hence why we are going back very soon!

The food was fresh, organic and every meal was worth looking forward to bursting with flavour. Accommodation was immaculate, original, comfortable and the surrounding views take your breath away overall fantastic experience. Thank you Mr whealeans

A once in a lifetime stay at one of the most beautiful places on earth. Robin bought the site 20 years ago and has been carefully restoring the buildings. My dog was welcomed and got to run around the property. A beautiful bathtub, huge kitchen, and snug fireplace. Robin and his partner went out of their way to cook a huge beautiful meal for our wedding party and also drove us to a local pub to meet new friends and have a laugh. They even went out of their way to drive us to the wedding venue even we couldn't get a taxi because of the holiday. Most importantly, its a vegan home with vegan caretakers and this little bit of paradise is good for the vegan soul. I want to come back for a writers retreat.

If you're looking for a rustic getaway, this is the place to go. Wood fires, acres of land to explore, beautiful views, and a fantastic host. Bring your car to explore further afield (there's a lot you'll want to see and enjoy).

To be warned, it is a vegetarian/vegan stay (no meat allowed), but Robin is an amazing cook and can recommend how to create fantastic vegan/veggie dishes that will have you not even missing such.

Plus an awesome kitty roaming the grounds that is beyond friendly.

Was the perfect recharge away from the city, couldn't have asked for more. And looking forward to when I can next go back.
