The Stone House, Old Church Stoke.

Can't recommend this cottage enough. Really nicely fitted out and with thoughtful touches, like treats for both humans and dogs left in the kitchen, and a towel to dry dogs. Great location for access to both the Shropshire hills and Snowdonia or the Welsh coast.

Very comfortable, roomy, smart, clean modern accommodation in a traditional stone cottage. Set in a well kept pretty garden and with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. We could not have had a warmer welcome from hosts Rachel and Adrian who went to some lengths to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Lots of local walking, even just from the cottage, and we would recommend a visit to nearby Bishop Castle. Make sure you sample the Three Tuns. Fully deserving of 5 stars. We’ll be back!

We stayed for 3 nights in September - myself, parents and my 2 dogs. What a fantastic welcome when we arrived. The cottage was so well equipped we wanted for nothing....even down to the delicious lemon drizzle cake. Very unexpected! All of us felt we could easily relax, especially important for my Dad who has dementia (he even mentioned what a lovely feel the place had). Easy to get out and about to visit relatives and friends in the area and of course some great walks for the dogs. Our 3 day stay felt longer for all the right reasons. Thank you Rachel and Adrian.

Perfect stay for a holiday in may. Everything you read in the reviews about the Stone House is true. Rachel & Adrian are the best hosts. Hospitality with a capital H. The girls (13 y) loved the fireplace and the wifi. The parents the view, garden and good equipped kitchen.

Have stayed here twice now August/October and we all love the location, the cottage and most of all the owners, they are so welcoming. Everything you could need for the first day is supplied milk/bread/homemade jam/marmalade etc.
Our kids love it as they can have so many walks in the beautiful countryside.
We will definitely visit again.

A wonderful house beautifully kept and well-equipped for a holiday stay. The setting is glorious, peaceful and rural. The owners are excellent hosts, kind, thoughtful and interesting to chat with.

Gorgeous cottage in serene location. Easy cycle and walking routes from the door. Great for families. Owner very accomodating and thoughtful. Highly recommended!
