Sitting by the fire pit, last night, bats circling overhead, not wanting to leave. The hut is idyllic, setting is beautiful, and the whole experience has been second to none. Definitely coming back ASAP!

Amazingly beautiful place, tranquil and serene. The shepherd hut was just perfect for a couple, very clean and well equipped. We stayed for 3 nights caught 6 carp biggest was 15.5, 2 tench and a pike. LOTS of roach in the lake.

Absolutely beautiful setting, lake was clear and tidy, The Shepard hut we stayed in was wonderful and stocked for visitors; plenty warm during the night and the hot tub was a great luxury, just a shame we couldn't catch any fish but we'll try again when it's warmer :)

We stayed as guest of friends in the Boathouse on a return 7 day visit and found it, again, most relaxing. A couple of minor issues which the owners could address would make it a 6star. One is the issue is unreliable internet which in these days is not just a luxury but essential, especially for fishing widows (suggest Starlink with P.o.P to huts) and secondly the most uncomfortable covers that are twice the size of the actual duvets. Making for nights of sheet entrapment? However we will be back for a third trip but please see if you can sort out these niggles for 2023.

We just spent a long weekend at wispy meadows in the golden olf hut. This place is absolutely stunning, the accommodation is brilliantly designed and the relaxing environment around the lake is superb. Fishing is literally on your doorstep with good size fish coming out the lake . We will definitely be returning.

We absolutely love it here. Just back from our second trip in 12 months and looking to book again for September.
So relaxing and every single detail has been thought of. You have everything you need. Great walks and pubs nearby too.
I would recommend coming here with very few plans and just enjoying the time there relaxing.

Wow this place is amazing , so relaxing we stayed in the golden orfe couldnt fault anything!! Hot tub was great the fishing was good I had 6 carp and a couple of tench even had a little pike reeling in a boilie lol
