Just had a fantastic 2 night break here with my wife and our dog. So comfortable and only takes a few minutes to warm up with the log burner. Everything you need to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break in a lovely wood and lakeside environment with the added benefit of your own private toilet and hot shower. And a wonderful fresh cream tea at the great cafe on the way in.Thoroughly recommended, thank you!

My wife and I recently got married at Sopley Lake and booked out the Yurts and Bell Tent village for guests to stay.

Our guests were blown away by the stunning setting and quality of the accommodation. We were bombarded with complements about how great the yurts/ tents were, from the decor to the high standard of the showers and facilities and the comfort of their stay.

Graham and André were fantastic, quick to respond to queries and very accommodating for such a big group. Graham met with us before we stayed to walk us around the site and make sure we had everything covered before everyone arrived.

We would recommend staying here to anyone. Thank you for us the most incredible wedding and weekend.

I just had the most amazing time with my 2 dogs at Forest Yurts. Such a peaceful and serene place to chill out and relax. The beds are comfy, the feather duvet an absolute treat. The wood fire so nice and toasty on a chilly night. And with the cooking and eating area being under cover it’s the ideal place to stay no matter what the weather. Location great, short drive to amazing forest walks and the beach. Already checking the calendar to see when I can go back. I highly recommend booking Forest Yurts!!!

Fantastic site and set up. Very relaxing compared to our usually tent camping. Everything provided except food and toothbrushes! Highly recommended for the aesthetic of yurt camping and the level of amenities and service provided. Will definitely be back.

As a 40th birthday adventure, the love yurt was EVERYTHING i hoped it would be ..
the surrounding lake and walks are quiet and serene.
The camp had everything you needed for a quiet, relaxing few days
The bbq and kitchen area is clean and modern
The bathroom has a good shower and a clean clean proper loo
The yurt is clean, cosy with a magical feel to it
The only thing to do is open the champagne and relax ....

We will definitely be returning I can not recommend the forest yurts enough

P.S don’t forget the marshmallows ☺️

Lovely weekend in the Love Yurt - despite torrential rain. Private shower and loos very good. Nice and clean - care has been taken to think of things; you can tell. Lots of wood for stove and fire pit. A bit closer to civilisation than I had thought (occasional plane from Bournemouth airport) but a very cathartic stay overall.

We stayed in the Elephant Yurt for 2 nights in July.

The yurts themselves are lovely and positioned right next to the Lake which is nice and tranquil! Good shower and toilet facilities available! Make sure you take insect repellant cause it’s the ideal environment for a ton of Mosquito bites.

Our stay was going well till the second night. on arrival we were informed there was a wedding taking place on the other side of the lake, in a marquee… as a musician myself with years of wedding gigs under my belt I knew instantly with a marquee and no sound limiter we were in for a noisy night… well what followed was 4 and a half hours of ludicrously loud music, the kids could not sleep, and the grown ups either! once we had called the owners their response was very much unsatisfactory “the wedding is nothing to do with us”; between 7 and 11:30 no one could get a wink of sleep.

Overall the yurts themselves are lovely, I just wouldn’t advise planning a stay if their is a wedding taking place until they take action and install a sound limiter.

They should maybe also consider informing guests of the potential for loud music ahead of time to give people the chance to make an informed decision before they commit to booking and paying.

Just had a weekend away in the Elephant Yurt which was lovely. The facilities were very good as far as glamping goes - plenty of space and everything you could need for cooking outdoors, BBQ and fire each night.
The location is lovely, pick your own had lovely fruit when we went and bakery provided some delicious cakes plus there is a small play park for little ones.
Great location as 10 minutes to Mudeford or Christchurch area so plenty to see in the local area.

Our only slight complaint was the weddings being held opposite side of the lake (which is actually relatively close by). The first night music and noise from this or hen night/party was until 1.30am. Keeping in mind signs all around the yurts ask you to keep noise down after 10.30pm this seemed inconsiderate to people glamping, especially those with children.

The second day we were there we went for a walk around the lake, got half way round and were told we couldnt go near the wedding by a rather unfriendly lady guarding the area. We asked if we could walk around the back of the wedding out of sight and she said it was private. We turned around and walked back to our yurt. Following that several wedding guests walked around the lake, right in front of our yurt, drinking and letting their kids play in front of where we were camping. It seems a bit unfair that we couldnt 'disturb' them by quietly walking passed but they were allowed to do that to us. It would seem fair that everyone staying around the lake could share it but if it is going to be sectioned off into private areas you would think that would apply to everyone! The same day there was very loud music in the afternoon/evening. We went along with it as it finished at a reasonable time that day but it was hardly a tranquil woodland retreat with a live band and wedding speeches over microphones nearby!

All in all a nice place to go in terms of location in the area and facilities but not ideal if you want a quiet, peaceful break in the woods as the activities of the weddings nearby do spoil this a bit.
