Welcombe X Campsite

Liked: we have had a really lovely weeks stay, at Welcombe x
Bob & Ratty made you feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble.

showers and toilets and all facilities were spotless.

site was situated in easy reach of many local beauty spots.

hoping to return again next year

Disliked: nothing

Liked: Clean and tidy site. Showers etc. excellent. Owners very helpful and live on site 24x7.
Very easy to get to coast or walking areas north Devon or west Cornwall..

Disliked: Some road noise in daylight hours from A39 but as a positive-was quiet at night and on a bus route.
Never did get the WIFi to work.

Liked: The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful and even gave us a spare our tent as ours was mouse-eaten!! They had a bar which was great fun and could not have been friendlier. The location was just 3 miles from the most stunning beach and coast in Devon.

Liked: Friendly owners, easy access and spacious pitches.
Very clean showers and toilets with a great system to allow you your own personal time in them.

Disliked: Near main road so some noise

Liked: A really friendly campsite. It was a basic little site, but the facilities were all in good condition, clean and the site was quiet at night. The owners were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The site itself is not exciting to look at, but it was in a great location to access all the lovely beaches and the beautiful countryside nearby. We loved that we could get around to so many amazing places. Nearest town was only 5 minutes drive for shops, pubs and food.

Disliked: It is next to the main road but we didn’t really notice it to be fair.

Liked: Absolutely fantastic spot to stay, great friendly warm welcome from the time we arrived until the time we left. A really great clean and well maintained site. We are definitely booking again next year….

A great place for glamping - it has everything you could need! The facilities are very clean. We stayed in the hut which was very comfortable and cozy. The breakfast hamper exceeded our expectations. The host was super helpful and friendly. They accept dogs too which was perfect!
As for the location, there’s loads to do in the area such as visiting Bude, Sandymouth beach and Hartland Quay. If you have a suitable car you should go to Welcombe Mouth beach (it’s down a very steep dirt track) - we went around sunset and it was breathtaking. We hope we can come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the gypsy caravan. Made to feel welcome, brilliant facilities, very generous & enjoyable breakfast, highly recommend. We’ll be back. Thank you!
