Good location and clean site, shame no entertainment on site and lodges very compact. Plus the rules prior to leaving made us worried for the holiday, bit much when the rules are also written all over the lodge.... !

Accommodation was clean but a little bit tired, had it been new I would have said it would warrant the advertised Luxury tag and a 5 star rating, but as there was paint peeling and filler in walls not painted, holes in carpet, missing and loose paving slabs, and budget appliances and cutlery, I personally thought it just missed that Mark.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, loved every single minute of it. Had to ask for the hot tub to be turned down ever so slightly, they sent someone the next day with no hassle. Very peaceful, never hear anything from neighbours, only a little road noise every now and then. Location is spot on, easy route no matter where you go. Wifi can be a little slow but barely on phone so doesnt massively matter. Overall would highly recommend, this was our 2nd time coming here and we fall in love with it everytime, perfect for couples or families.

We had a great time staying in the Honeymoon cottage. It was nicely furnished, very clean and the hot tub was perfect.
Please take the following comments as constructive criticism and not a complaint by any means.
The double glazed doors that lead into the decking need adjusting, they were very difficult to open and close.
The gate to the decking would benefit from a simple lock to avoid people entering the area whilst you're in the hot tub. It takes away from the feeling of the enclosed privacy when anybody can enter at any time.
The small fence to the right of the cottage has a direct line of sight from the pubs upper room windows straight onto the hot tub which takes away much of the privacy also. The upper portion of the bamboo type fencing should be replaced with a type that is not able to be seen through. These little changes to the decking area and fencing would make this little cottage perfect!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again :)

Just had 2 nights om my own for a bit if head space.
Very pleasantly surprised. Very nice accommodation. Comfortable sofas, beds where a little uncomfortable but thats only because they are spring wher as I have memory foam. Kitchen is very well equipped. Lovely space and the hittub was amazing. You won't regret booking.

We booked after we had a really great experience at sister park Warren Wood, and thought we would give Golden Cross a go. Unfortunately we found this park disappointing.

Is advertised as a rural retreat? This holiday park is just off a very busy main road A22. Noise from vehicles begins at 6am and continues until 1.30am. Not the best for a relaxing break, and not very rural! Also lots of noise from other businesses on the site. Thankfully we spent the majority of the day out, visiting local attractions.

The lodge needs significant maintenance. Creaky floorboards, stained walls, lots of chipped furniture, dinning room chairs need replacing, missing freezer draw, timer on the oven broken and hot tub lid seen better days. Whilst the majority of this things are aesthetics- they do make for a more pleasing stay.

The lack of lighting near the hot tub is dangerous. We ended up taking a torch.

Lack of lighting near the front gate aswell.

Not particularly clean- dirty plates in the cupboard.

Postives- clean bedding and towels, a few tea/coffee sachets, hot tub was lovely and parking outside Lodge.
