Haven Lakeland Holiday Park

What a brilliant place. So quiet and calm loads of things too do. Definitely recommend booking swimming in advanced as it was fully booked by the time we arrived at the park but don’t panic if you can’t as they do evening free swim sessions. Brilliant staff and lovely caravans to stay in very clean and tidy. Just an all round great experience in the Lake District. Loads of water sports and bike hire on site too. Just a fantastic stay for a small cost

This was our second visit to Lakeland Holiday Park, so it's not all bad!
Why not 5 stars? Well, if I could have given it 4 and a half, I would have done.
The location is what let it down.
The facilities are wide ranging and enough to keep the most energetic young person happy for a week.
The park is well cared for and the staff are kept busy. Lots of rabbits!
We didn't try the nightly entertainment so I can't comment on that.
The shop sells co-op produce at slightly higher than average prices. It's a small shop for such a large park.
The 4G signal is almost non exist ant, sadly. Or not, depending on whether you want to get away from it all!
Very good disabled access throughout.
But the park is just a fairly long drive from the Lakes and any shopping centres.

Absolutely loved this place. Was very clean both inside the caravan and around the park itself. Great for kids and lots to entertain them. Me and my partner have loved our weekend away however would recommend more adult appropriate entertainment after 10pm. We were chosen at random for an upgrade from saver to deluxe which was a lovely surprise for us. The cleaning was completed late due to being short staffed however they did give free drinks voucher to apologise which was lovely. All park team very friendly the activities we did such as foot golf archery and crazy golf were great fun. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a haven getaway

We had a few problems with our first caravan but then they moved us into a upgraded beautiful caravan on the lake! There was a maintenance man and a lady from the office (forgotten their names) who were excellent! Very accommodating! We had the best time and will definitely be back all the staff work so hard especially with being under staffed!! So much to do and a perfect family get away! Thanks Lakeland!! ❤️ Please don’t make your choice off the bad reviews! Yes there’s cues and wait times and it is a little out the way. But for a very busy place they did amazing! The scenery is beautiful

We spent a week at Lakeland. They have different styles of accommodation on offer. We chose a silver rated holiday home and were very impressed with it. It slept six if you include the pull out beds although ours had had them removed as we'd told them we were four people. The kitchen facilities are modern, ours came with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven and microwave.
There are plenty of activities available for the family including kayaking, paddle boarding, and pedalos that look like flamingos.
The Marina bar put on variety acts. We saw a magician and a very good singer one night and on another saw the Haven staff putting on an entertaining musical show which spanned the decades.
They have a reasonably basic swimming pool without slides but it does get booked up.
There's crazy golf, foot golf and a real golf course at the back which looks worth a go. You also get the added bonus of watching parachute jumpers next door landing on the field from about 12,000 feet! Not for me....

We just had a weeks holiday myself,husband,daughter and both grandchildren. We had a fantastic time would like to say a huge thank you for the upgraded caravan ( which we didn't expect ). We had a gold van in Golf Village. Absolutely fantastic van it was top grade on the cleanliness of van. The site was so clean and tidy all areas were excellent. Had great time in the indoor pool. There was one lifeguard Matt that was fantastic he had a great time entertaining the children. All staff were very polite and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this place for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Lovely caravan and a lovely base for go off explore the lake District.
When we first arrived the caravan smelt about like what I could only describe as 'wet dog and fish' and the kitchen floor was very sticky.
Didn't really have good signal in the caravan so sometimes we would take a walk to the restaurant and have a drink so we could send messages.
Very nice staff and nice place to stay. They have a small pool for little ones which as great for our little one just getting used to swimming.

Was worried after reading the reviews on this place… I was very surprised when we arrived. Staff were nothing but friendly, the caravan was very clean, the entertainment staff were amazing with my children, great arcade & swimming pool which was also very clean. We never ate in the restaurant but the prices we very reasonable.. and also in the entertainment area.. 2 pints of Stella and 2 mixed slush puppies come to just over £13 which I thought was a brilliant price. Pizza on site too that will deliver to your caravan. We checked out a day early as there was a storm and my daughter was very afraid… we can’t help human nature. Otherwise we would have completed our stay. Would definitely return but can imagine it being very overcrowded in the hight of summer. Which again is to be expected. Don’t be out off by the bad reviews
