Oak Grove Retreats at Doldowlod Caravan Park

Just spent 8 nights at Oak Grove Retreats & we loved it! Oak & Heather are very welcoming & knowledgeable about the area & have plenty of time to chat which is nice. Fantastic views from the caravans & site. Beautiful walk down to the river Wye. If it's peace & quiet you're after then this is the place to stay! Caravan was spotless when we arrived with a great fenced garden. The private caravan owners were also very nice people & great to chat to. We didn't want to come home. We will definitely be visiting again 👍😎

We had a very nice stay in this quirky and unique converted railway box. Excellent 4g signal. Very (surprisingly) comfortable bed, separate, private and immaculate loo and shower units. Excellent location, 2 minutes walk to river Wye. Plenty to do and see in surrounding areas.

Beautiful, peaceful, very relaxing place to stay. Plenty to see and do or just sit back, watch the world go by. Would recommend it to everyone. Heather & Oak are super friendly and can't do enough for you. I had a excellent time and so did my dog, will most definitely going again 👍👍. ❤️ It

A week's stay in the train carriage was as perfect as it could be. Very clean, cozy with everything you could need. Extremely quiet and relaxing with not just great views but an excellent location for cycling and exploring the hills around the Elan valley and beyond. I couldn't recommend it more and hope to be back again in the future.

Fabulous place. So quiet and peaceful. Site is clean and the nearby petrol station (with Greggs) was a plus. Oak and Heather were extremely personable and were a great source of information about the area. They ensured that everything was comfortable and did a remarkable job of outfitting the caravan with everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay and cannot say enough great things about this place.

I visited Oak Grove Retreats at Doldowlod Caravan Park from September 7th - 10th, 2021 and had an absolutely wonderful stay.
The park is beautifully but conveniently situated with amazing views and a Wye-side walk plus easy access to the A470, Rhayader and the Elan Valley.
I stayed in a 6 berth caravan, which was spotlessly clean and really well equipped - proper coffee making equipment, thank you!. The site is run in a really Covid-secure way - you really feel safe.
The site hosts are passionate, knowledgeable (about the local area, walking, wildlife and much more besides!), and charming.
I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone about this wonderful place. It's so peaceful, despite being so close to a main road. You can lose yourself in the Welsh countryside. Oak and Heather, the site wardens are a delightful, knowledgeable pair who will always help you with advice on your visit.
Have been coming here for years and finally got a place of our own so now we can enjoy this magical place any time we like.

Amazing renovation of the goods wagon converted into a high spec glamping accommodation. It was warm, comfortable with excellent appliances and facilities. It was situated in the middle of nowhere, secluded, quiet and beautiful
