IN short: AVOID.

Had a quote in mid Feb 2022, they arrived promptly. I showed the small bathroom design which involved: rip-out of exiting bathroom, changing layout, putting tiles all over the floor and walls. I also told Sunny that I will require underfloor heating (electric) under the floor. I also mentioned that there might be some structural work to be done to the joists as the existing plumbing leaked and potentially weakened the floor. This was supposed to be quoted against separately (more on that later).
I have requested a quote as I do want to have things on record. Unfortunately the quote received was vague and did not include all the items we discussed and shook hands on, but I did not notice it and assumed it was all included as we agreed on the quote visit.
The work was supposed to start in 2 weeks and take 2-3 weeks to finish. They had delay and only started the work 3 weeks later.

They ripped the bathroom and pulled up the floor and saw the condition of the joists. I asked Sunny how much it will cost to do floor repairs and Replace 2 or 3 joists and he said 2 days plus materials. Didn't tell the actual figure but I ESTIMATED this to be not more than £1000 (500 labour + 150 materials including joists and floorboards, say 1000).

The next day some timber arrived which was smaller cross section to the existing joists. I asked them what was this for and they said they decided it will be better just to sister the beams and add reinforcing glue and not proceed with full replacement. This was decided against what we discussed and material was bought without my consent.
I called building control next day for advice and they suggested that such way of reinforcing would also need some extra blocks to be put against walls downstairs and Sunny agreeded to put these in. I do not think these been actually put in and not been provided the evidence of installation of these i was told these will be inserted later from the room downstairs for better access. They put down the plasterboard to the room below (which was under leaked area and indeed in bad condition). Despite my multiple requests the rotten plaster have NEVER BEEN CLEANED up, not to mention replaced (image attached).
The bathroom design consisted of a concealed cistern next to vanity unit (with shelf and mirror stretching above both) and this required some carpentry work. I returned in the afternoon one day only to notice that the timber work has been done SO HIGH that average person (not to mention children) would barely be able to see half of their faces. Their tiler who was contacted to put tiles over the timber did cut it down, though, so not really a problem anymore.
Then tiling and units instalation carries on, THREE MONTHS LATER, end of May 2022, I have leaking radiator, leaking tub (reason the original bath was ripped out and floor repaired), slowly draining tub, not properly flushing toilet.
Some has been repaired (rad and bath leak), but toilet flush is still not good and tub drains slowly.
Upon completion (not really complete but most works done): I got a bill with EXTRA 2 Grand to pay. This was to cover reinforcing floor (ok), wiring mirror (ok), underfloor heating installation (we spoke about it but it was in the quote), floor tiles installation, floorboard installation (apparently this wasn't covered in '2 days job plus material figure').

I then said that at no point during the work (and you had a lot of time to tell me) you said you are going to charge me extra for any of the work (heating and floor tiling) and we discussed this on the quoting day but he had none of it and we agreed to split the bill and I did pay 1500 over original quote.
Why?
I asked what I if don't agree to this Sunny said they can rip the floor up (THAT'S ILLEGAL by the way, if you have customer dispute you are not entitled to rip anything out, I paid for all the materials). With such perspective I buckled and agreed to split the bill.
Today, keys have not been returned. An attempt was made to return these and instead of my keys I got someone else's keys.

Want an electrician who responds to your calls promptly, turns up to do the work on the day they promised at the time they promised, is professional, and doesn’t make silly excuses? Then look elsewhere. Simples.
