The person serving in the cafe had the most disgusting attitude. She had glasses, hair in a bun and tattoos. She saw us waiting to be served but ignored us and stayed in the back. I was waiting around 15 minutes for her to come out and even speak to us. We asked if she was serving and she replied really abruptly “ I only have one pair of hands love can’t you see” and she claimed she didn’t see us waiting and then ironically said “ I said I will be there in a minute”. We said it’s ok we will go elsewhere because she was being rude and then she said “ fine I didn’t want to serve you people anyway”. I am not one to complain, I haven’t ever even written a review before what about a bad one but the way she spoke to us was beyond disgusting. She really upset my mum so she mentioned it to a member of staff in the range who said she thinks that is the manager and if that’s the case I feel sorry for her staff having to work with her

Big shopping centre with lots of lovely stuff for home, gardening, farming, camping, etc. Normal prices. Many sales and discounts. Good location. Large car park

Lots of choices here for all the house and a few items of food. I popped in for a new pillow and picked one up for £11.99, not too bad. Had a walk around and saw a cafe and toilets for customers. Not as big a food choice as the Range in Plymouth, but if you need food there is an Aldi and Iceland just across the car park.

All sorts of random stuff. Need a tinsel dinosaur for your xmas display. The Range will set you up.

Loved walking around the shop listening to Christmas music. We managed to buy everything we went in for apart from the mega tubs of dreamies can treats that they have on line but not in store.
The customer service was brilliant though as my son who has autism had found a Christmas ornament that he really liked but we could only find the display one which had a button missing, so customer service asked a member of staff to look out the back , unfortunately they didn't have anymore and weren't getting anymore in , my son had to have that ornament so they let us have the display one at a reduced price.

Review of the café: cheap and cheerful. Decent food for the price. Would have given 4 stars if we hadn't had to wipe our own table. Seemed understaffed so lots of tables hadn't been cleaned.

Very good range of products and prices. There are some inconsistency between their website and the store. Also during weekend they are short on staffs and significant crowded checkout tills which can be improved

I love The Range but it can be dangerous as there are just so many lovely things, it's easy to get carried away. I go with a decisive list and go straight to the relevant departments to avoid impulse purchases and getting lost in the cluttered store. I also go first thing in the morning so there's not loads of people getting in my way and the queue to pay is short and not 15 minutes plus to wait. Unfortunately over the last few years like most food/department stores the staff levels have been cut ridiculously tight and to be fair most of the good staff have left. If you need help with anything good luck trying to find a member of staff and if you do find one it's not their department and they can't help! You need to go to customer service for help but they are also being used as a till point so you have to queue to get there. The loos are not great and the cafe has seen better days but the ladies who work in the cafe are great and they have a sense of humour. Whatever you buy open the box and check the content before you go home. Twice I've not checked and had bits missing. They are a nightmare to get help on the phone and I live 45 minutes from the store so it takes half my day to go and get sorted (as you have to join the queue for the customer service desk). Having said all that The Range is a great place, they have an amazing selection of goods. I love sewing and they have the best range of haberdashery and net curtains in Exeter in my opinion. The last hurdle you will encounter is queueing to exit onto Alphington Road. The traffic lights change really quick and nobody seems to know who has right of way.
