The Range, Northampton

This is at St James in Northampton on a retail park with other businesses, decent sized car park, we went in specifically for cat scratching boxes today, & they didn't disappoint. Decent sized shop, plenty of variety, they also have an Iceland concession in store, not massive but has a
decent amount of food, can walk down from town, which we did, only takes about 5 mins. I think would be good idea to go in the evening if by car & you can, simply due to the sheer volume of traffic that is always around that area, they are open til 8pm.

Absolutely appalling service from both management & staff.
We went to buy a kettle & toaster, as they were scanned through the tills I noticed they were the incorrect prices as to what was displayed.
Upon raising this I was spoken to rudely and asked “show me where you got it from then” (I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and could have really done without the walk along the store… seeing as there is only one isle with kettles & toasters I am surprised I had to show her where they were!)
The shop attendant agreed with me, the price was incorrect, she then called for management who had to seek advice from someone else within the management team. We were left stood for 15 minutes waiting for a decision (in which time my son has wet himself!) whilst listening to unnecessary comments from the store assistant on the checkouts. Comments such as “this is doing my head in”, “who’s beeping that horn” & “this is taking forever” (professional).
After the wait we were advised that they would not honour the price so we decided to not proceed with the items.

My problem here is not the pricing of the items. Everyone makes mistakes, we are only human! It’s that the level of service was absolutely shocking. I’m really appalled with how long we were left waiting, no apology just a shrug of the shoulders and another comment of “we have 24hours to rectify the mistake”…

Such a shame. Really good products but so many things don't have price tags and the staff are so unhelpful. I would have spent so much money there had there been price tags or staff that actually knew what they were doing.
My mum asked a staff member how much something was and all the said was that they didn't know and my mother had to nicely request for what they suggest.

Good range of trees and festive atmosphere.. fabulous Christmas items. And friendly staffs too

As a guy who is into interior design I can vouch that there are some fantastic finds in here at very good prices. Do not expect one of a kind / craft / luxury items but the designs on the lighting range and frames are very fitting when matched with more expensive items for your house. I go regularly just for photo frames.

Some lovely Christmas things to buy. However, 3 stars only as there were boxes left everywhere and staff in the way not moving for myself and my pram. It was hard to navigate around the store.

Nice range of items for home and garden. Iceland department too. We love the range of photo frames and kitchen items. Did go to look at the plant department, but unfortunately it was very disappointing as everything was dying and in desperate need of some tlc! So I wouldn't advise going there just for plants. Check prices too as lots items not with correct price on shelf. Got to till sometime £5 dearer than expected per item.

Absolute shambles mannerism score 0 price tag does not match the shelf price on 3 occasions it was wrong score 0 i had to put 1 star to post my comments manager walking around with a cup in her hand when you had a long queue of customers never ending .
