I love this store
They have an excellent choice of items for the home at prices to suit all budgets. The quality of the majority of things is excellent . My last visit was the best yet - I found the curtains I wanted at half price & lovely tie backs to match .
Highly recommended!

The shop itself was excellent, plenty of choice, got what I went there for.

What let it down was a very surly and rude cashier, I was buying bedding, pillows, duvet, rugs and a plastic kitchen bin, when I got to the counter I said that I would place everything on the counter and that I would put all the bedding in the bin, she started off by not being able to find the barcode for the bin, and told me that I had picked one without a barcode, I told her that it was on the lid !!! after it was scanned I placed the bin in the trolley, but as she scanned the bedding she threw them with force back into the trolley, I didn't get a chance to pick them up off the counter !!! At the end of the transaction she asked for my email address to send an electronic receipt, I spelt out my email address to her, usually half way through spelling it out my email address pops up and they confirm it, today this did not happen, she just said "it's gone through" I was not offered a paper receipt today.
I loaded the car and then checked my emails, lo and behold NO EMAIL from Dunelm, I went back in, while waiting for my turn she was serving another customer and when she asked for her email address, as the customer spelt out the first few letters the cashier said "there it is" and confirmed it with her, this didn't happen with me so I assume that my email address was not spelt correctly!!!!
I asked her if I could please have a paper receipt and she it was to late now, I told her that I had not received the email receipt and asked her to check if she had sent it to the right email address, she said very rudely that she had sent it to the correct email address I told her obviously she hadn't send it to the correct email address or I would have received it, she then asked me when it was, when I said 5 minutes ago she didn't even recognise me !!!!!!, I informed her that I now had no proof of my purchases if I needed to return anything that all I had was my bank statement, but that didn't have the list of my purchases, she was very abrupt and said if I needed to return any item it would be sorted.

I'm a sales assistant myself and I do know that at the end of a busy shift you are tired, but that is no excuse for being surly, rude and abrupt

The store is decent but as a company they could be much better. Bought furniture online in August, no issues. Recently bought lighting, which was pretty disastrous. Travelled 35mins to the store to collect one item, which had a piece missing and looked different to the description on the box, so had to go back! The other items were delivered, but two of my 4 glass items were smashed into pieces on arrival and poorly protected so I had to return these to the store too! The returns process needs improvement too...if something is sent out via courier it should have a return label so it can be easily mailed back. I advise thinking carefully before buying anything fragile online and strongly suggest checking any item collected from store before driving away!

Ordered online. The website says it will be ready to collect 3 hours later. I got a message saying my order was ready to collect within 45 minutes. There was a queue at the checkout when I got there were only 2 members of staff on the tills. So it took about 15 minutes to get to the till and for the member of staff to get my order. I'm disabled and walking around the store to get my items would have caused me a lot of pain, so I will be using online ordering again. But please Dunelm use the same policy as tesco and a few other stores, call extra staff onto the tills when there's a long queue. 2 members of staff were behind the tills dealing with reducing items and not bothering with the queue.

I recently bought a quilt and pillow cases. The Pillow cases were labelled as a pair. Upon opening the pack at home, just a single pillow case. Took it back and was advised that the pack had the wrong sticker on it, changes as prices had altered. I was offered a refund and no apology for the inconvenience or offer of a discount to buy another pillow case. When I got that home I found that the new item had also been re-priced. It had a sticker over the old price with a 20% mark up!!

Sharp practice Dunelm and unimpressive customer service.
