John Hammond Painting & Decorating

John has recently completed a make over for the front of our shop and we are really impressed with the speed and efficiency of his work. John is a true professional his work didn't interfere with the running of the shop and the end result was excellent. There were several areas that needed some repair before he could paint, he advised and repaired in the most cost efficient way. We have used John before and we will most certainly use him again. John has just finished a job for me that I needed doing at very short notice following some building work and I'm very pleased with it. He always does a proper job, meaning he never cuts corners (I've used him a number of times before) and gives good, carefully considered advice. He is very reliable, turns up when he says he will, keeps in good communication, and is not happy until you are satisfied with the job.

John did a fantastic job on our hall, stair and landing! He said it was a difficult job (he discovered why we did not want to do it ourselves!) but he did it with a smile on his face. He was very professional and vacuumed and tidied up before he left even if it was 6pm one evening! He didn't need feeding - he drank cold coffee and cool drinks! John is a really decent chap and we would highly recommend him for any painting needs and we would certainly have him back.

John did a big decorating job for us a few years ago and we were so pleased with the work that we called him back without hesitation when we moved house. The new place needed major work done to modernise it and the old decoration was tough to remove. John completed everything in good time, solved problems creatively and he has transformed the house into a lovely bright living space. He is totally reliable, punctual and just gets on with the work efficiently. His charges are very reasonable and he is a good person to deal with in every way. I would recommend his work very highly and will always call him if I need further work done in the future.

John did a fantastic job on our hall stairs and landing. A lot of preparation was needed as this area had not been decorated for many years, and the prep was done to a very high standard. He was patient with my dithering about colours and his advice was spot on. He works very hard to bring the job in on time, and the final result is outstanding. All round I can recommend his work unreservedly.

John has painted the entire inside of our house in the last 6 months. He has done an amazing job for us. He has removed copious amounts of wood chip, lined walls, filled holes, plastered where necessary and kept his sense of humour! He has worked with us whilst lots of other trades have been in and still managed an excellent job. The hall stairs and landing look wonderful as do all the other rooms. We cannot recommend him enough. He’s a painter with many additional skills who will do a great job for you.
