Homebase - Newport (including Bathstore)

Great little DIY store. Set up very well for COVID measures. Click and collect nice and quick at the front of the store.

Not good. Travelled 20 miles to get 3 rolls of turf to be told they haven't had any for months. Said 'in stock' at least 7 online before I left, which you advised to check.....not as if they are too flat out to update their systems with 10 people in a shop at a time. Probably could of ordered in from professional suppliers, it would of ended up cheaper now!

Staff here are more than obliging. If you require a kitchen, bedroom furniture then don't hesitate to check it out. Maxine from the kitchen department is very good at her job and extremely helpful.

Dreadful place, I would even go as far as to say depressing, took a trip here from Cardiff to find half the plants wilting, some dead, how on earth do HB expect people to still want to buy plants like this, while continuing to charge premium rate price's for something that is destined for the compost heap, the tree selection was very poor, again wilting, very basic bedding plants, nothing of any great excitement, only found one plant that looked healthy, we went on to another large chain where our money was gladly spent and savings made, will never visit again. The staff also looked miserable, no doubt treated the same as the plants.

Plants 1/2 dead, no staff on shop floor, would not cut timber for me even though its advertised on the store website. Would not recommend this store. Prices a lot higher than others

I came here for some paints mixing and have some very positive feedback!
Customer Service had sent someone over before I asked, which is always good.
The gentleman who helped me could not have been more helpful, he helped me pick the correct type of paint, was genuinely interested in what I was using it for, and didn't rush me at all during the process.
Definitely a gold standard compared to other Homebase branches I have visited.

Always had good service here and some of their products are in my opinion superior to B&Q. The only issue at times is a lack of staff to assist.
